Two broken souls (Lams)

Sixteen

ok so i'm going to try to post an update everyday but no promises. It's currently hay season right now so that takes all freaking day. Then after hay i'm going camping for a few days and i'm not sure if i'll have wifi. so i guess we will see.

A gun shot filled the silent air, leaving Lafayette ears ringing and his entire body shaking. He carefully opened his eyes to see the man drop dead on the street. He could feel bile (I think thats what its called) rise in his throat. He gulped, dropping the gun to his side. He couldn't look away from the body "I killed someone." he mumbled closing his eyes then dropping them to the ground. When you read about killing another human it seems so easy but actually pulling the trigger on another living person leaves an empty feeling, Lafayette thought this over and over. He felt a hand on his shoulder, whipping his head around he sees Hercules smiling "See it wasn't that hard." Herc patted him on the shoulder then lead Lafayette to the car. Lafayette sat in the passenger seat then looked over at Hercules. He use to be a sweet caring person not this guy who just sits by while some one is shot but then Lafayette use to be a sarcastic person that would care for others now he is a killer. Lafayette could tell that something was wrong but then maybe it's just a little ball of darkness that we all have that can push us to do anything just to make one person happy. But who was Lafayette trying to please, so maybe the ball of darkness has no reason behind it. It's just something that we are all born with and wether we chose to use it defines us? So would that make Hercules and Lafayette low life murders? These thoughts filled Lafayette head as they drove back to the headquarters. 

*Alex and John* 

When they get up the next morning and Alex turns on the tv a new article shines brightly across the screen Jeffersons crew strikes once again. John stops in his tracks to watch as the reporter goes over a man shot around midnight with the same sign carved into his arm. Alex shakes his head before looking up at John "Its honestly a shame that the president is letting these people die with out justice." John nodded in agreement "yeah really is. This country is going to shit." Alex stood up, walking into the kitchen with a worried expression stamped across his face. John hugged Alex from behind as he looked through the fridge "Whats wrong?" John asked. Alex shrugged "Idk. but if Herc or Laf were.. you know.. umm.. hurt someone would say something?" John scrunched his brows thinking this over "Well yeah.. i mean i-" he cut himself off before starting again " Of course they would Lex." He tries to give Alex a reassuring look but can't muster a smile. Alex nods then closes the fridge, John stand up straight again as Alex turns around "I'm just worried. James lets murders slip by everyday." Alex looks up "Like what if one of them spoke up against his rules." John grabbed Alex hand, rubbing circles on the back of his hand with his thumb "Don't worry they are smarter than that." Alex slightly smiles before nodding. 

*Hercules and Lafayette* 

Hercules leads Lafayette up into Jefferson office. Jefferson wore a wicked smiles, his fingers tapping against the table he looks up from the table to see Lafayette standing next to Hercules looking traumatized "Ah I see you have first murder shock." Hercules and Jefferson laugh. Lafayette broke "Why the fuck did we kill that man." The laughter stopped. Jefferson raised his brows "Excuse me?" Lafayette glared at him "Why. The. Fuck. Did. We. Kill. That. Man." he says slowly a pause in between each word. Jefferson stood up "Well for your information that man was breaking the law." there was an uncomfortable silence before Lafayette says slowly "You mean the man had a voice. had freewill that i don't people 200 years ago fought for." Jefferson sighed "Those people fought so we could be free from the king but not so they don't have to listen to the rules we have now." Hercules sat quietly over behind Lafayette giving Lafayette a look that said shut the fuck up. Lafayette rolled his eyes "You know mister perfect this country is going to shit. Do you know why?" He asked. Jeffersons smile faded before answering "Because people won't follow the rules we establish." Lafayette laughs "No because our damn president is just establishing more Government control." 

Jefferson looks over at a small red headed boy sitting in the corner, Seabury looks back. With a nod from Jefferson he walks quickly out of the room. Jefferson sits back down "Please sit down Lafayette and Mulligan." 

~ 20 minutes of arguing about the country between Jeffershit and Lafayette that i didn't feel like writing~

Seabury comes walking in with a little box, a sorry glance to Lafayette as he hands the box to Jefferson. Hercules gulps then looks at Seabury mouthing 'Its ok'. Seabury nods then walks out of the room. Jefferson nods at Hercules, Hercules stands up then walks out with Seabury. Jefferson pulls out a needle and a bottle of red fluid  "I'm sorry Marquis but it's just you can't seem to just keep you mouth shut and do our bidding." Lafayette starting to stand up but Jefferson was already next to him, with a click of a button straps grabbed Lafayette arms. Jefferson gave a fake smile then stuck the needle into his neck. Lafayette screamed as the burning pain ran through his body. His vision blurred then the room went black. 

*John and Alex* 

A knock at the door made Alex jump. John groaned as he stood up to get the door, as he opened it he saw two young women he guessed a couple since they were holding hands. One was wearing a dark sea green jump suit colorful hair fell to her shoulders. The other had a yellow shirt, black jeans long dark brown hair pulling in a low bun. "Hello?" John asked. The one in yellow looked up "Good morning. Is John Laurens here? and may we talk to him." John nodded "That would be me. and sure i guess?" He opened the door to let them in. Alex saw the couple walk in behind John. John invited them to sit down at the dinning table before sitting across from them.  John looked over as Alex sat down next to John. "Thank you. By the way i'm Kenzie this is my wife Peggy." Peggy scrunched her nose "You don't have to tell everyone we are married." Kenzie raised a brow "Well we are. And i'm too excited to not you have a problem with it my lovely?" Peggy rolled her eyes "No I love you too much to care." (Happy Pansexual_Hamiltrash now?) Peggy punched Kenzie in the arm before looking back at Alex and John "Anyway. We need to speak to you about umm." She looks over at Kenzie. Kenzie sighed "The government is falling apart, we need help. and about your father?" John looked over at Alex then back at Kenzie "You need my help."
