Alex and Kenzie sit across from them "so?" Alex asks after ordering a coffee. John sighed "Took a lot longer than I thought." Peggy nodded, still leaning against John. Kenzie sighed "so how did the whole father thing go? did he buy it." Peggy could feel the tears coming back and looked at John. He gave a small smile "So Angelica will be here by noon, right?" she nods "yeah." her voice muffled and chocked. Kenzie went to say something but John cut her off "any luck with Herc." Alex shrugged "they called and it sounded like they found the sketch so now we just need to talk to Angie and from there learn who the body is then we have to find Thomas." John nods shifting his shoulder with Peggy "Ok sounds good." Peggy nods closing her eyes not wanting to let anyone else see her cry "John." he hums in responds "Can I talk to you outside." he looks at Kenzie and Alex . They shrug then go back to talking about the evidence they have.
Peggy leans against the wall outside in front of John a few tears trickling down her cheek "I feel like a fucking idiot." John shakes his head "Don't." She wipes a few tears with the palm of her hand "I know it shouldn't get me worked up. Like I'm really happy that he's not giving hell to Eliza but god just remember all the shit he did to me make me want to.. I don't know." John nods sitting down with her as she crumples to the ground "you want to talk." She nods "okay. Hes just been this piece of crap Homophobic shit for years i've been married for four years and nothing. You would think if he got over it then he would call. and then when we walked in he started making fun of everything i've done. Some days I wish I could tell him I worked as a hitman for Jefferson that would shut him up." John shakes his head.
She sighs pulling her hair down so its just a curtain over her face "And the fucking cherry on top I barley know you. You just came to my place with a dead body and now look at us." John laughs "Yeah." She smiles "I barley know you but here I am faked married to you, having a mental break down probably over nothing and you've been there. Why?" He shrugs "Peggy family suck and you just have to get over it sometimes." She laughs between the tears "Wow inspirational." He smiles "I know. But really you just have to find a new family like I said this morning. Sometimes restarting with new people really helps. Before I knew Alex and everyone I was just a depressed gay shell I mean I still am but now when I have those moments I have people to be there." She smiles swiping her hair to the side "I forget you have a piece of shit father too." he sighs then nods "Yeah." She looks over at the road "Ok I think I'm good still dyeing but okay. and probably long shot but do you happen to have mascara? mines kinda watered down." John sighs laughing "Yes I do." he pulls a tube out of his pocket handing it to her. "May i ask why." John sighs "Sometimes Laf sometimes I don't know I just got use to having some for my sister or mom." She puts some on wiping the extra off and handing it back to John "Okay lets go."
They all walk around town for awhile then head back to the cafe once noon hits. Peggy and John look at each other once they sit down and Alex and Kenzie sit down next to them. "Hello." Angelica says sitting across from them scooting over as Philip joins them. Peggy glares at him "Philip." she snaps then stands up "John you can handle this I need to go stop a murder." He nods. After she leaves John looks at Philip "What the fuck are you doing here." he sighs "Thought I would get a hi but that works to. Ah Kenzie how are you?" she flips him off then sits back glaring at him. Alex shakes his head "Ok Angie so Hercules found the sketch this is correct right?" he hands her the paper. She scans over it "yes Thomas Jefferson and his brother came in that for the same thing. Also a week ago the same brother came in asking for strange letters and numbers." Alex smiled "like this." he shows her a picture. She nods "exactly." he nods. John looks out the window worried for Peggy then back to glaring at Philip "Ok was this a real or a temporary?" she sighs "Umm temporary." He nods then looks at Alex "Thanks that all we needed." He stands up after Kenzie and Alex had left going over everything. John looks at Philip once Angelica left "This is from Peggy and me." he slaps him in the face nearly knocking him over then smiles "Thanks for your homophobic comments umm also don't ever touch my friend again or I might need to put a bullet in-between those eyes of yours. good day." He walks off finding Peggy waiting for him.
"you look thrilled with yourself." John could hear Philip yelling his name now "Run." John grabs Peggys hand and they run into some trees behind the building. He sits down laughing "Oh I'm dead." she shakes her head "What the fuck did you do." John sighs "Your going to get pissed at me but I kinda slapped Philip." She tries holding back a laugh then shakes her head smiling "I mean that works too I was thinking murder but you know." He nods "Murder can wait for later cause I kinda told him I would shoot him if he dared to hurt you or me again so yup." she shakes her head "Marry rich change are names and never look back." she says looking out to the street. John nods "Perfect plan."
