Third Persons POV
Two days after
Thea has now rested and feels energetic. She woke up at 5 in the morning and ran around the estate. She watered the plants, cleaned the whole estate and went back to sleep.
After she got woken up by her maid. The maids help her take a bath and dress up. Today she is wearing a flowy floral dress with her hair in a messy bun and sandals for her shoes.
The maids were excused and Thea was alone in her room. She looked out her window and thought that the weather was perfect to relax.
She asked her maid to bring some snacks and tea to the garden. When they arrived she sat on her chair and sipped her tea elegantly.
She took some snacks and ate them with delight. She spotted a cupcake with strawberry frosting and was about to taste it when two hands covered her eyes.
"Guess who?" A voice said in a playful tone. Thea smirked, she wanted to tease this person.
"Oh!" She said and fell out of her chair. She landed on top of that person, just as she planned. She lifted her head and looked at that person with the cutest face she could make.
"Oh, Ian, it's just you!" She hugged him and snuggled in his chest. Ian blushed like a tomato. His heart beat uncontrollably but he smirked.
Just as he planned, he turned and pinned Thea on the ground. Thea was shocked but tried to compose herself.
"Oh, Thea. I never knew you were this good." Ian said and stood up, Thea also stood up, annoyed.
'He was teasing me!' She thought and took a bite of a cupcake with strawberry frosting.
Ian looked at her and went closer. Thea was confused about what he was doing and tried to move but
"Don't move." He said with a serious tone. His face and Thea were so close it was almost touching.
In one quick motion, he licked the frosting on Thea's cheek and smiled playfully.
"How sweet." He said and took a sip of his tea. Thea blushed hard.
"W-what are you doing?!" She said and looked at Ian still blushing. Ian smirked and thought 'How cute!'
"There was frosting on your cheeks." He said looking at her eating a macaroon.
"You didn't have to lick it!" She half yelled, still embarrassed at what happened.
"But that was the only option I had." He grinned, and this made Thea annoyed.
"Why are you here?" She said trying to forget what happened.
"Why can't I visit my best friend?" He said.
"That's not what I mean. I know you wouldn't come here without a reason." She said raising her eyebrows.
"Let's take a walk." He gestured his hand and Thea just followed.
They were walking in the garden, holding hands. It was peaceful, the cool breeze flowed and the scent of nature filled the air.
Thea's POV
Omg! My heart is beating so fast. We're walking in the garden, nothing abnormal, right? Wrong! We are holding hands for goodness sake!
My heart can't calm down. I know I like Ian but why can't it just calm down? Thea, take deep breaths, in, and out. Uhh, it's still beating uncontrollably.
"Thea, I have something to tell you." My heart thumped even faster. Oi! Heart, what are you doing?!
"I love you from the moment I laid my eyes on you. I know it's weird loving my best friend but I can't help it. Whenever I look at you, my heart beats fast. It's like it's telling me to get you. Your my everything, you make me happy, and you make me feel warm. I love you, Thea." He said with sincerity.
My heart is about to burst, my cheeks feel so hot! He's looking at me so sincerely. Why are you saying such embarrassing stuff?!
The maids and butlers that accompanied us here are trying to hold their laughter. HEY! DON'T LAUGH AT ME!
"Thea? Why are you so red?" He began to touch my cheeks, his face was so close to mine. I can feel his breath on me.
Calm down... calm down...
"B-b-because of y-you!" I said stuttering while covering my red face.
"Look at me and only look at me." He said while lifting my chin with his index finger. Hey! That's sly!
"Do... do you feel the same way?" He asked shyly and nervously.
"I... I... like you too, too much if you ask me," I whispered the last part. My heart won't calm down.
"Sorry, can you repeat that?"
"I like you, okay?! Too much if you ask me!" I yelled, my heart can't stop beating, ugh, I might die due to a heart attack. I didn't expect this but Ian lifted me and spun me around happily.
"H-hey put me down!" I yelled embarrassed. The maids and butlers are staring at us.
He placed me down and hugged me. He nuzzled himself in my hair and it felt ticklish but still!
"Finally, you're mine. I love you. I love you." He chanted, making me my face heat up even more.
"Stop saying embarrassing stuff! But I love you too." I said with an embarrassed look. He then held my hand and said we should tell my mom and dad.
At the Duke's Office
Thea's POV
Why is the atmosphere so serious? Father is surrounded by a dark aura while mom is surrounded by a light aura. Haiss, the difference!
"What did you say?" My father said seriously. I sweatdropped, has father turned into a daughter-con? I think so...
"I want your daughter as my fiancé, Duke," Ian said then held my hand while looking at me sweetly. I'm blushing, I can tell. I looked at my mother and sweatdropped. Mother, please stop fangirling.
"Alright but if you make my daughter cry or hurt her... I'm gonna go on a killing spree." Dad says with a scary look in his eyes while a dark aura surrounds him. Uhhhh, father is scary. That gave me chills.
"Of course, I would never hurt her. I love your daughter so much!" He said and in one swift motion... he kissed my cheek! He smirked, oh god please, I might die because of this boy.
"KYAAA! That's my daughter!!" My mom said while shaking and squeezing me in her hug.
