The Letter that started it all

It was now the summer after Taylor's first year at Hogwarts. She only made one close friend who was Cho Chang. They got along very great since they liked the same things and had the same personality, kind of.

Taylor was packing up her trunk a week before she had to get back to Platform 9 3/4 and get on the way to Hogwarts, when her owl flew in from her opened window.
She was a bit startled as the Owl fell to her feet.
"Must be from Cho"
She said and smiled as she took the letter from her owl's beak. Nibbles, the owl, flew into her cage and started to peck on the food Taylor left for her for when she came back.

The letter was in a bright pink envelope. Taylor opened it and read it;

Dear Taylor,

Heyyy its Cho. I don't know how to tell you this but I'm not coming back to Hogwarts this year. My parents have decided to move to the USA so that means I will be attending Ilvermorny now. I am so sorry Tay, I don't wanna go but I really have no choice.
I'm going to miss you. You were a great friend and really showed me a good time at Hogwarts.

Taylor's heart stopped. "No, no this has to be a joke"
A tear rolled from her eye as she threw the letter onto her desk and sat on her window sill and looked out at the bright sky.
It's only been a year that Cho and Taylor have known each other but they have really stuck to each other. Cho was always there for her when she needed a study buddy or just a friend. And they even shared a dorm together.

Taylor just lost her best friend.

A/N: ugh another one of these. Ok actually I really hate these notes but I need to get some info out. Sorry this is short but I don't really know how to get into the main thing of the story so bare with me.
