"Wake up Taylor!"
Ann's voice rang through the door of Taylor's room. "Five more minutes" she grumbled. "Don't you wanna see grandpa?" Ann said as she knocked on the door softly. Taylor came to her senses and fell out of bed. "Are you ok?!""Yeah Im good"
Taylor yelled back to her grandma as she stretched. She sighed as she went to her closet and quickly picked out some acceptable clothes and went to her bathroom. She got dressed and did her morning routine so quickly she felt like she was forgetting something. But she brushed it off and ran down the stairs. Skipping some steps here and there. "Good morning sweetie" Ann said as she poured Taylor some orange juice. "Eat!" She directed as she noticed Taylor just sitting there staring at her cup. She picked up here fork and took a piece of her eggs. It sat there in front of her face for a while. "Gosh dear! Do I have to physically feed you?" Ann asked as she walked over to Taylor and made her open her mouth and helped her get the food into it. Taylor started to chew it and was actually quite pleased. "I'm sorry. I just don't really eat a lot." She said shyly as she began to eat her toast. "I hope they're feeding you plenty at your witch school." Ann said as she served her more eggs. Taylor looked at her plate that was getting fuller and fuller, unsurely. "You don't know the half of it" Taylor said as she forced herself to finish her food as best as she could."Hurry up dearie. We are leaving in five minutes" Ann called for her a little while after breakfast as Taylor walked up to her room since she forgot to feed her owl. "Ok" she mumbled although she knew that Ann probably couldn't hear her.
"Oliver! Wake the bloody hell up! It's Christmas"
Noah yelled and threw a pillow at his brother to get him awake.
"Wha??" Oliver asked half confused half startled. "Oh. Happy Christmas Noah" he realized and smiled. "Happy Christmas Ollie" Noah smiled back. He walked out of Oliver's room and skipped down the stairs singing. When it comes to Christmas, the Wood brothers don't care how old they are. They'll act like little kids either way. Oliver got up from his bed and walked over to his closet. His hair was all messed up and he had bags under his eyes. He decided to stay up late last night and plan out some new quidditch plays. Yes. He knows that it's Christmas. So there's a week off for holiday but "quidditch comes first" he mumbled to himself as he picked up the papers and quills he used from last night and set them onto his desk he had in his room. He walked over to his bathroom next and started to get ready. Although it didn't take him to long since all he had to do was fix his hair and brush his teeth."Merry Christmas!" His mum yelled from the living room once she saw Oliver walking happily down the stairs. Everyone was sat around the tree and the fire as they waited for him. "Merry Christmas" he said back as he sat down next to his brother.
"Ready now?" Ann asked Taylor as they put on their shoes. She nodded and her grandma smiled warmly at her. "I hope grandpa's ok" Taylor said as they got into the car. Ann started it and soon they were off onto the road. "I hope he's ok too"
They drove down a few blocks to a muggle hospital. As they got closer to it the more Taylor became nervous. She was scared to see her grandpa. She doesn't know why but she just is. She doesn't wanna see him suffer the way he is right now. She doesn't want to loose him because she already lost too many people.
"It's going to be ok Taylor. Trust me" Ann said once she noticed that she looked a bit nervous. "But what if it isn't" Taylor asked worriedly. "If it's ok then it's ok and if it isn't ok then we will find a way for it to be ok" Ann answered her but there was a bit of unsureness in her voice. It didn't make Taylor feel any better. Once she saw the great big building which was the hospital her stomach dropped. It took a while for them to find a parking spot but eventually they got one at the far end of the lot. Once the car stopped Taylor got out as fast as she could. She started to walk up to the doors, Ann not to far behind her. Once they entered the hospital they were greeted by a lady. "Hello. We are here to see my husband, Mark Donald." Ann told the lady and she pointed them to the left. "Down there and there should be a door with his name on it" she said and they both thanked her. Slowly, they both made it to room that belonged to Taylor's Grandpa. Taylor opened the door while shaking. She saw her grandpa laying there on a bed. He had all these wires connected to him and he was asleep. Taylor had a tear stream down her face. Ann also began to tear up. They sat down on some chairs next to the bed. Taylor opened her mouth to say something to Ann when the door barged open. "Hello hello." The doctor said and smiled sadly at the two. "Is he ok?" Ann asked worriedly. The doctor's face fell slightly. But he put on a sad smile once more to cover it up. Taylor's heart started to race as he explained about her grandpa. "Well he's having a hard time dealing with what he is going through right now. We're trying all the treatments we can but everyday..." he trailed off and sighed. "He's getting weaker"
And with that there was movement in the hospital bed. Taylor's grandpa had woken up. "Grandpa?" She said as she stood up and inched closer to him. He turned to look at her and smiled. Although he was struggling to do so. Another tear fell from her eyes as Ann got up and stood next to her. He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. "It's best he don't talk. He needs to rest and regain his energy" the doctor explained. He looked over at him and gave him a small nod. Ann grabbed his hand and so did Taylor. "Please be ok" Taylor said to herself in her head. All they could do was just look at one another. Her grandpa couldn't say anything at all and Ann and Taylor were too sad and shocked to say another word. After around five minutes he fell back asleep again. Taylor had so many tears fall from her eyes and onto her shirt it was almost soaked. The doctor then broke the silence. "It's time to go. He needs to keep resting" he said with sorrow in his voice.
"Good bye grandpa" Taylor said sadly. Her grandpa opened his eyes once more just to take a last look at her. "I love you.." he tried to let out but just instead mouthed it. "We love you too" Ann and Taylor both said and had small smiles on their faces. Although tears were still streaming like a waterfall. The doctor lead them out once they were finished saying goodbye. "Thanks for visiting him today. You're also welcome tomorrow" he informed them before they walked down the hall and out of sight.
