Chapter 12: Yamane Is Troublesome [Part 2]

"Oh, Radish-Senpai, Kou-Kun" Mitsuba greeted them as she keep cleaning the counter.

Yashiro wave at her as Yamane followed her into the cafe. Mitsuba glance down only to see the cat. She backed off.

"I-I-Is that a cat!?" Mitsuba said. She look really scared. Kou laughed hardly as the cat jumped on the counter which Mitsuba cleaned earlier.

"Eep!" Mitsuba screeched.

She is really afraid of cats. Yashiro didn't know that.

"This is Yamane! Amane and I bumped into her yesterday" She said. Kou frowned a look at her. "Wait, did Amane-Kun sent you home yesterday?" He ask.

Yashiro pets Yamane and nodded. "Yeah, it was really fun" She said.

"Ah, I'm so sorry, Nene-Senpai. . ." Kou apologized. Yashiro shakes her head. "No its fine! Besides, I really want to see Kou-Kun and Mitsuba-Chan dating so. . ." She said.

Mitsuba blushed madly and pinched Yashiro's cheeks hardly.

"Ow, ow, ow!" She said, trying to get Mitsuba's hand off her. "Nene, you—". Yamane bites her. Mitsuba screamed and jumped accross the counter and hides in Kou's embrace.

"That cat, get it away!" She said, pointing at Yamane. ". . . Well, thats why I came here though. . ." Yashiro explained.

"I can't keep this cat in Aoi-Chan's house. . . So I came here to ask you or Amane to keep Yamane" She said. Mitsuba stares blankly at her and shakes her head.

"I can't keep the cat! My mother is very scared of cats so its a no-no!" She said. Yashiro look at her dissapointedly.

"I also can't keep Yamane. . . My sister's 'pets' would get scared. . ." Kou said. Yashiro sighed and pat Yamane. "I can't just leave Yamane at a pet store. . . Yamane is very special!" She said.

"Why so?"

"Because Yamane resembles my friendship with Amane-Kun! I met Yamane on the way to my home with him" Yashiro replied.

"Oh~, is that so?" Amane appeared beside her, making her startled. She become flustered a little and back off.

"A-Amane!?" She exclaimed. She didn't notice that he had been standing beside her for a while now.

"If Yamane resembles our friendship, then I can keep Yamane as a pet!" Amane said cheerfully. Yashiro's heart flutters.

'What a cute boy. . .'   She thought.

"Yeah. . . No." Mitsuba said. Amane look at her sadistically. "Eh. . . So you are saying that I don't know how to keep a pet. .?" He ask her.

Mitsuba gulped and shakes her head. "No! The problem is your brother!" Mitsuba said. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. . ." Amane replied.

"Are you accusing him. . .?" He ask. Kou steps infront of Mitsuba. "Woah, woah, stop!" He said. Amane sit down properly on the chair and pouted.

"How bad can Amane-Kun's brother can be. .?" Yashiro ask Kou.

"Oh, he'll bath his pets whenever he feels like it!"

"He always forgot to feed them"

"And most importantly. . . He doesn't take them to the vet!"

Yashiro slides Yamane away from Amane who is playing with the cat.

"Um. . . I think Amane can't keep Yamane. . ." She said. Amane pouted and cried. "Come on, Yashiro-San!" He said.

"Yamane resembles our friendship! So I have to keep Yamane as a pet!" He said, trying to take Yamane but Yashiro lifted the cat up to the air.

"Perhaps, I can help you!"

The four of them turn around to see a worker from the cafe.

"I can even draw the cat!" She said happily.

Yashiro stare at the girl blankly. Brown red-ish hair with aqua eyes. Wearing a spetacles and slightly taller than her.

"Have we met before?" She ask, when she noticed Yashiro is staring deeply at her.

Yashiro snapped her fingers.

"Oh, aren't you Shijima Mei? Mei-Chan!?" She ask her. Her eyes widened. She zoomed into Yashiro's face.

"You look like her. . ." She said. "Show me your ankles!" She demanded. "Wha—?"

She smiled excitedly as she take out a measuring tape. "It is you! By the size of your ankles, I can already know its you!" She said.

"Oh, you still haven't change Nene-Chan! How are you!" She ask her. Yashiro laughed sweetly. "I'm fine—"

"Wait, wait, wait. . ." She trailed off.

"Why are you here? You aren't supposed to be here. Do your parents—" Yashiro covers Mei's mouth with her hand and laughed loudly.

"HAHA. . . How about we talk about this later!" She ask her. Amane and the others frowned.

Mei takes off Yashiro's hands and hold them.

"I will talk to you later about this. . . But please, not infront of them!" Yashiro whispered to her.

Mei sighed and nodded. "Anything to pay you back. . ." She said. Yashiro smiled at her.

"Guys, I've known Mei-Chan since I was six!" Yashiro announced happily. Amane make a slight 'ooh' and clapped his hands with a visible excitment.
