Chapter 13: Yamane Is Troublesome [Part 3]

"How did you two met exactly?" Kou ask Yashiro. His voice is filled with curiousity.

Yashiro looked at Kou and pinched Mei's cheek. "Right after I move, I uh—" She lost her words. She think for a second and opened her mouth.

But no words came out.

Mei glanced at her. She need to be saved, now.

"I met her in a hospital!" Mei answered Kou. He make a long 'oh' and nodded.

"Amane, I thought you knew about this!" Mei said, turning her head to Amane. Amane laughed and scratched his neck.

"Well, I wasn't paying attention!" He laughed.

Yashiro sighed. She is being thankful to Mei. Of course, if she had said that they met in a hospital, a lot of questions would popped up later.

Yamane meowed Amane as she keep purring and 'loving' him by scratching her face on his face.

"Oh yeah, and about the cat!" Yashiro said, as soon as she remembered Yamane who is still need a new owner.

Mei smiled at the cat and grab her gently.

"She likes me—" Mei got bitten. By Yamane.

"AHH! Get her off!" She screamed. Thankfully there is no other people in the cafe, or else she would get embarrased.

Yashiro tried to grab Yamane but she jumped up to Yashiro's head and exit the cafe.

"Run after her!" Amane said, running to the exit. Yashiro followed him but as they look back, the three of the people stayed back. In a frightened way.

"The cat will bite us. . ." Mitsuba said.

Yashiro make a bored face and sighed. "We will run after her. Stay here Kou!" She said.

Amane and Yashiro ran to the streets where they can see Yamane's silhoutte.

"Dang it. Where is she?" Amane said while huffing.

A lot of bystanders and cars is passing by them, so it make it hard to find Yamane, who is still small and really hard to spot.

"G-grandma, have you seen Yamane—" Yashiro asked an old lady who is standing by the street but she cut off her words, realizing that the lady doesn't even know Yamane.

"Oh . . .?" She replied slowly. Amane ran to Yashiro. "Have you found Yamane!?" He ask her. Yashiro shakes her head and stared at the old lady.

"Is Yamane your child. . .?" She ask, fixing her spectacles. "N-no!" Yashiro exclaimed, flustered.

"U-um, Yamane is a cat. . ." Amane said. The old lady laughed. "I'm sorry, my bad" She laughed. Yashiro giggled awkardly.

"Well, I have seen this cat running to that direction" She said, pointing to a certain middle school area. "The cat just run into that place" She said.

Amane smiled happily. "Thank you!" He said as he pulled Yashiro's hand to the middle school area.

Yashiro stopped Amane before they could enter the gate.

"Wait, we can't just barge in!" She said. Amane look at her. "All the people in this area already left! Besides, Yamane is probaly just around here!" He said.

"But—"

"Are you really going to give up to our cat?" He ask her.

Yashiro stares into those amber eyes. He's right. Yamane somehow resembles them both perfectly.

She has a silver fur with amber eyes.

She can't give up on Yamane yet

"Right, come on!" She said as she just opened the gate and ran in.

"Thats the spirit!" Amane said, following her into the school.
