Hinata didn't understand why Sasuke called her at eleven at night to go on a mini drive with him. She finished with her homework and showered before time hit nine. However, sleep didn't take her way and she found a book to read, hoping to make her drowsy. Yet it didn't help much but encourage her to read to the next page with excitement and curiosity.
As she waited in her living room, she saw how late it was to be sneaking out. She threw on random sweats and a hoodie. The unfriendly weather decided to shower around their area.
Hinata laid her hand on her chest. Her heart was pounding. Was she bad for doing this? She questioned herself even more. Is it a good idea to sneak out? She'll be back. Sasuke not going to hurt her or anything? He's her friend. Should she tell her parents or her sister?
They trust her, right? Hinata believed she will be fine.
Her phone vibrated and she glanced at the young Uchiha's text that reads he's outside. Hinata stuffed her keys and phone in her hoody pocket and left out her unlocked doors. She saw his car blinking its hazard lights.
The car door opened and she ran across the rain shower to his warm car.
"Sorry, I should had brought my umbrella out and meet you at your door." He handed her his sweaters and she gladly took it to wipe her wet face and covered her upper body with it.
"It's fine. I didn't know it was raining this hard. So whe-where are we going?" She asked him. Sasuke took off in the road. He didn't think of going anywhere particular. Just wanted some peace to talk to her. Sleepiness didn't come his way since things were on his mind.
"Um... I don't really know. It's raining so I guess... Somewhere warm." He glanced at her and back to the road. Hinata nodded her head and sat quiet. She felt bad. So bad. Like a rebellious teen she never imagined to be.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Ju-Just nervous." Sasuke scoffed after hearing her.
"Of what? I'm not going to hurt you." He smirked. Hinata giggled. She doubts Sasuke will do something crazy like that. Her father will track him down and kill Sasuke himself.
"I know. I never...sneaked out the house before... It feels weird."
"That's normal. But we're juniors in high school. We know better. We have...should have common sense." He enhanced certain words clearly. Hinata giggled.
"Yeah." She eyed the window. Sasuke just let the streets take him. He paid no mind about gas but mindful with the signs and lights. He didn't want to get pulled over and get in trouble because of their curfew.
"I know this is out of the blue but... How did... Where did those scars came from?" Naruto and Ino went in his damned head. But why haven't that question never came out his mouth before. He never thought of asking her since they were kids.
As kids, she waltzes around with them. As if a knife struck her from behind and she still wore a smile on her face.
Sasuke feared that she will tell him to take her home. He just wanted answers to be clear to him. He cares about her in a friendly way. He would never make her uncomfortable in a result of feeling bad.
"It's fine if you don't tell me. I'm just... curious." He stopped at a red light and took the chance to look at her. Hinata sat there fidgeting with her fingers.
"I never to-told anyone the story... about all of these sc-scars. You just surprised me how int-interested you are about them." She rubbed her covered arm.
"Really? Do you feel comfortable to tell me?"
"Honestly, ye-yes. We been friends for...months. So-So it should be fine to be open. Right?"
