this was an idea i had that i dreamed about, way back in 2014, and somehow i still remembered every detail about it, so i decided to start with this one.

taylor's walking through a field of flowers in a flashback, then it transitions to her walking through the field in the present, looking at the flowers that are all dead now because of the drought, and the visual represents that all the good memories of that relationship died because of the breakup (in other words, the drought). then during the pre-chorus, it shows her in a ruin of a house in the middle of a forest and she's looking at old pictures of her and her ex. during the chorus, that's when the storm comes in and what's left of the roof doesn't protect taylor from getting wet in the rain, and she starts crying. in the second verse, it shows more flashbacks of her and her ex, sort of like in the white horse mv, and then it transitions to her in the same house but it's what the house originally looked like, and it's filled with water and taylor's trying to stay above the water level, but she can't get out, and for a second, it seems like she's going to drown, but she punches a hole in the roof as that lyric plays, and climbs through the roof, and that leads to the chorus, which is of her in the ruined house again, this time looking at pictures and videos of her from previous eras. with the 'ten months sober' part, it's her walking down the street in a small town that resembles nashville, and she runs into her ex on the street. they end up getting into a fight, and then there's more flashbacks, but played back so fast that you can barely see each of them go by. for the last part, taylor goes to her parents' house and talks to them, and the video ends with her finding a new boyfriend and that's the part where she says "i think i'm finally clean".
