there was a different atmosphere that sunday morning. it wasn't often to have guests that weren't there for the exclusive champagne and knowledge that they were invited over. the usual fancy food was now simple dishes, little triangle cut sand which and a vegetable platter brought by the mother, but taehyung of course had to spoil that with bags of potatoes chips and small bowls of rainbow colored candy.
"only one." ms. euna said to one of her kids that came running back for another mini kitkat candy bar. "i'm getting one for beomgyu." she said, smiling sweetly up at her. she knew her daughter would keep both for herself.
taehyung smiled at her, and then even more when she ran back to her brother and the ravenette. they were sitting on a love seat by the wall, little coloring doodles decorating the wall and a table with a bunch of paint and seashells sitting out. "i'm suppose to spoil them when they come here. i'm the favorite uncle." taehyung said. he had invited them over that sunday, considering it's been months.
"yes but i have to deal with the sugar in their system when i take them home." she said, but she was smiling still, not really bothered that her kids were enjoying themselves.
they were sitting with jungkook, hanging up more drawings that they brought for taehyung. "this one is from school," the young boy, beomgyu had said, holding up the paper and showing a stick figure with a guitar.
jungkook smiled small, ripping off a piece of tape to help him stick it to the wall. "you want to play the guitar when you grow up?" he asked the boy who nodded with a smile too. "like tae huh?" the ravenette said, which started a ramble about how awesome the rockstar was. the little boy only stopped when his sister came back, empty hands and chocolate on the corners of her mouth. "i'm gonna sing and he's gonna play." she fell right into the conversation. she also already had jungkook hang hers up which was her with dyed hair shown with aggressive purple crayon and a microphone.
"i'll definitely be buying tickets to come see you guys." jungkook said, laughing lightly and feeling his heart warm at their tiny giggles. it was funny to see their attention change, whether that be on the snacks when someone opened a bag and they heard, or it was painting seashells different colors with little pictures on some, or hanging up their drawings like now.
"who's is that?" the small girl, her name was byeol, meaning star. jungkook looked to wear she was pointing, a much older looking piece of paper based on the amount of times it's been folded and unfolded. there were crinkles and the paper felt softer from age. "that is my daughters." he said, knowing the pink dragon and green flames from anywhere. hangul had drawn them riding the dragon, which she also named nellie like her fish. she named everything nellie so she'd never forget one. jungkook always thought she was funny like that.
