this type of sadness left him feeling hollow. there was never something to fill that shell once this was all over. he always promised, he'd stop once the love left, once he no longer had the same passion — without it, everything seemed pointless. it was that hollow space between time, he never knew what to fill that space with. the difference this time, was that taehyung kind of had an idea now.
the tour was ending but he wasn't as sad, because he knew he wasn't going back to his empty apartment all alone to spend nights with pixies and forgotten regrets. the rockstar always thought about that, if he could forget the things he's done then how could they really be regrets. the only reminders he had were the bruises on his neck and the pain in his lower back. that didn't appeal to him anymore, not unless it was coming from a specific toned-as-fuck ravenette.
they sat together on the plane, the fancy first class section making taehyung not able to be as clingy and annoying as he wanted to be. "stop watching the movie." he threw another piece of candy at jungkook who swatted it away and kept his eyes on the screen.
"dude. restrain yourself." jungkook said, his voice a little loud since he still had his headphones shoved into his ear.
they were on their way back to seoul. a shorter flight than it was going and coming from the states. taehyung had felt down the whole day, sad that his tour had finished and he didn't have another for some months. he'd do a few shows here and there in korea, but it wasn't the same as a concert of his own.
jungkook bought him candy and hoped he'd be quiet and entertained for the flight, but that only lasted an hour. once he organized the chocolates by color he got bored. "let's play a game." taehyung suggested.
the older couldn't exactly hear him, but he felt his eyes staring at him and could see his mouth moving through the corner of his eye. jungkook sighed and finally took out his headphones. "you're really annoying." he said.
taehyung was affected by that comment, still smiling. "let's play a game." he repeated.
"fine." the ravenette caved. "what game do you want to play?"
"hide and seek." taehyung was quick to say, the eagerness evident in his face as he kicked off the blanket covering his legs. he shoved his feet back into his shoes and stood up. "i'll be hiding in the bathroom. meet me in two minutes."
it wasn't weird for the rockstar to run off and want to be followed. it also wasn't a surprise that jungkook complied so easily. he looked down at his watched and bounced his leg up and down, checking it once more before giving up on those two minutes and just going now.
