I made my way to the hellhole called house.
Jake offered to drop me but I declined mostly because I don't want him to meet the devils I live with.
I sight as I entered the house bracing myself for impact.
"Indy!" aunt Maggie said smiling
"Okay what's going on here? Why is she smiling? Am I dead already! Why in the world is she fucking smiling?" Thousand of thoughts cane to my head.
"Hey Aunt Maggie" I replied sounding unsure as she pulled me into a hug which I disengaged from as soon as possible because she might be planning to stab me this is aunt Maggie we are talking about.
"There you are bitch!" a voice in which I could never forget said as he flings me on the floor with my hair.....Chris.
He got on top of me as he started to hit me.
"Chris,get off her this instance" aunt Maggie said with her strong commanding voice.
Chris and I gave ourselves looked at each other in surprise.
"You mean I can't hit her?" Chris asked surprised
"Yeah,you mean he can't hit me?" I asked in order to clarify though it was a really stupid question.
"Yes,we are family and we don't hit each other we protect and love each other"
"She is like a little sister to you" Aunt Maggie added
Chris and I looked at each other with our mouths ajar.
"She is?"
"I am?" Chris and I chorused still shocked about the situation
"Now Chris,help your sister up" Aunt Maggie told Chris
"No way" Chris and I said simultaneously before we quickly got to it when she gave her deadly stare.
"Oh Indigo,I knew you were smart! You see after all our drama at school, Mr Negus, Lisa's father gave me 5 thousand dollars for your treatment" she said as laughed cunningly as she kept on drinking her bottle of alcohol.
"Oh!"
"And the principal said you are suspended for a term" she said as she held the cheque close to her.
"So you can get proper treatment" she explained further.
"You are not going to take me to a phycologist,are you?" I asked curiously
"What am I? Crazy! Of course not, you'll keep one doing whatever it is you do for a term while I take care of this bad boy" she said kissing the cheque.
I ran up to my room and locked the door and put some loads behind it,I mean who wouldn't, aunt Maggie was acting nice which can only mean one thing,she wants to kill me and it would take more than acting nice to get me killed.
I slept off after sometimes but with one eye closed I can't let my guards down,I sneaked do to get a knife in the middle of the night in case I would need to use it beside Chris is around now
The next morning
I woke up to a beeping alarm and decided to go back to sleep since i was on detention for a term!
After a couple of hours,I made my way downstairs to eat but not without my hidden knife.
I was relieved there was no one at home at least I can relax.
I decided to take my bath and after that I couldn't help but feel the loneliness so I decided to go to Frank's place though I owe him a lot of explanation.
I made my way to the restaurant humming to Hello by Adele but was surprised to see that the restaurant was closed, frank never ever misses work unless....his restaurant got closed down because of the fight that happened.
I tan my way to his house and started knocking. Frank opened up looking like a mess,he must be devastated.
"Frank,I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to get your restaurant closed and you and Anna must really hate me....and" I started blabbing as tears made its way to my face.
"Hey,hey,slow down there Princess, deep breaths okay" Frank said trying to calm me down.
"Now ,what are you blabbing about?" Frank asked
"I'm sorry for getting your restaurant locked up" I said sobbing
"What do you mean,you didn't close up my restaurant, Anna gave birth two days ago and I'm helping her with the baby" frank explained
"You don't say,no wonder you look like shit" I said making my way into the house.
"Can I meet....him?" I said guessing the gender.
"Sure Indy,you can meet her" he said smirking
I entered the room to see the baby sleeping peacefully beside her mother.
"Awwwn,she is so cute" I said admiring the baby "what's her name?" I asked curiously
"Hope,she is our little hope" he said as his eyes sparkled with delight
"And shouldn't you be at school?" He asked curiously
"Nah,suspension a term"I explained slumping into the chair
"I have to say I'm pretty dissapointed Indy" he said taking a sit beside me.
"Ahh..." I gasped coming up with a perfect idea
"Frank,I have got the perfect idea let me run the restaurant for you while you go ahead with you stuff,taking care of Hope and Anna and you can get some sleep too" I said giving him the puppy eyes.
"I don'tknow Indy" he said scratching his head
"Come on Frank, I know you know,please" I said coin the puppy eyes.
"Fine but if you burn my restaurant, I will kill you myself" he joked
"Thanks" I said jumping on him and giving him a deadly hug before finally releasing him then o took the key to the restaurant before heading back.
I opened the restaurant and served a couple of people and I have to say I am a great cook.
Jake also came over after school and helped me wait the tables while I cooked the food but he had to head home for some reasons.
It was around 7 so I decided to close up and return the key and of course money to Frank.
I started cleaning up when some group of men came it.
I gasped as they entered, I recognised one of them,they were the men from the woods, I can never miss that tattoo,the boogie men!.
"Excuse me sirs,we are closed for the day" I said trying to comport myself.
"Nah,we came to see you and I can promise you we mean no harm" one of them with tinted hair said.
"Okay,I'll be right back,I got to do something at the back"I said making my way to the kitchen.
I made my way through the back door and ran as far as my long,fast legs could carry me not looking back and suddenly bumped into someone.
'Chris!' I whispered in horror
"Hello to you too bitch" he said as he slapped me across the face.
Now I regret not staying at the restaurant.
