"Yeh mausam ki baarish,Yeh baarish ka paani
Yeh pani ki boonde, Tujhe hi to dhunde.
Yeh milne ki khwaish, Yeh khwaish purani
Ho puri tujhi se, Meri yeh kahani."They were sitting in the beach beside each other looking at the sea. The sun was almost drowned in the ocean. The last rays of sunlight were kissing their faces while a cool sea breeze was blowing making their hair to dance with its rhythm.
"Rohan why r u spending so much time with me? U never used to hang out with me during school days." Ishu asked breaking the silence.
"Because now ur mature enough to differentiate between right nd wrong." he replied her staring at the waves of the sea which was washing the beach just like the waves of his heart.
"That means u r claiming urself to be right for me?" She asked while smiling at him.
He chuckled at this nd didn't gave any reply.Ishu continued "Waise tune thik hi bola. Now I'm matured. I don't bother myself anymore with the things that aren't right for me. I no more ruin my name in achieving things which isn't possible. Abhi mera dil dukhana aur dil churana itna asan nahi he!"
Rohan felt that the last lines were for him.
"You've changed a lot!" he commented looking at her.
"Kya karu? Sometimes, even if we don't want to change, this transient world with its transient feelings forces us to match it's rhythm of 'change' nd shatter the 'eternal we' into a million pieces making us realize that nothing is permanent. Everyone nd everything is subjected to change. Like u nd like me. We're all destined to change Rohan!!" she finished her sentence nd took a deep breathe.
Rohan kept staring at her blinking his eyes in surprise trying to understand the worth of her words." Kya hua? Meine kuch zyada bol diya kya? Forgive me, it's the fault of studying psychology!!" Ishu said in a joking tone.
"But I can find some meaning in them! It's not the fault but the blessing of studying psychology" Rohan said in a heavy tone.
"Really??"
"Yes of course!"
Suddenly it started raining. Ishu stood up nd spread her arms. She started feeling every drop of the rain. Rohan too stood up nd let himself to be drenched.
"Pata he jis din tu mere tution ke bahar mujhe dantne aya tha us din bhi aisi hi baarish ho rahi thi. Uss din ke baad se mujhe baarish se thoda dar lagta he!" Ishu said while chuckling.
"Tere baarish se dar lagne ka wajah mein hu?" he too chuckled.
She nodded nd looked at him.
"Sirf dar nahi. Meri har khushi, har dard, har gham sab kuch to tujhse hi judi hui he!" She wanted to tell him.She was humming a music nd was moving her legs lightly, when suddenly her ankle twisted nd she fell. But she didn't fall on the ground rather she landed on Rohan's arms. He caught her by her waist nd she held his shoulders tightly. Both of them were getting drenched being in that position. Ishu was staring at him without blinking her eyes.
"Lagta he meine tera dil chura liya. Par tune abhi kaha na ki ab tera dil dukhana aur dil churana itna asan nahi he." Rohan teased her after realising that she is staring at his face while being in his arms.
Ishu quickly freed herself from his arms nd blushed hard.
"Rohan now ur making fun of me. I'll not talk to you!!" she showed fake anger."Mujhe pata he tujhe kaise manana he." he said confidently.
"Do you know whose watch is this? This is my watch." He said pointing to his watch. "Do you know whose shirt is this? This is my shirt." He again said pointing to his shirt.
Ishu was already laughing as she already knew this technique of his'."Do you know whose girlfriend is this? This is my girlf......" He stopped realising his mistake nd looked at her.
"I'm sorry" he uttered.
Ishu was looking at him blankly. She didn't uttered a single word nd then removed her eyes from him.
An awkward silence surrounded them.At this moment an ice cream vendor was passing them ringing the bells.
"Rohan, ice cream!" She yelled pointing at it to make the situation normal.
He was relieved at her reaction.
"Is mausam me ice cream?" he joked."To kya hua? Ice cream ke liye koi khas season thodi na hoti he. Ice cream to khud hi ek season he!" She said squeezing her eyebrows.
They both laughed nd went towards the vendor.
