Ishu dressed up in a red gown as it was Rohan's favorite colour. She called Aku who was putting on her purple long dress.

"Arey ho gaya re.. Bas 2 min." Aku shouted from the room.

Ishu took the cake box from the table nd while sitting on the sofa yelled "Teri yeh 2 min kab khatam hogi??"

The doorbell rang. Ishu opened it nd found Shivam standing there. He entered the room wearing a black jacket nd denims.
After Aku came out of her room, all three of them drove to Rohan's house in Shivam's car.

Ishu pressed the doorbell with nervous hands. After a few seconds Rohan opened the door nd got so surprised as if he had seen a ghost.

"Happy Birthday Rohan!!" the three of them wished him nd Ishu handed him the cake.

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Rohan was stunned at their sudden appearance.

"But what a surprise! Aur Shivam tu kab aya?"

"Just a few weeks before."
They both hugged each other. They came in nd Rohan closed the door.

"And what took u to Mumbai?" Rohan asked Shivam.

He told him about his modeling career nd in return Rohan told him about his bicycle stunts.

After cutting, Rohan put the slices in everyone's mouth.
Ishu took one piece nd after keeping it in Rohan's mouth, looked straight in his eyes nd apologized in a soft voice "I'm sorry Rohan. That day I shouldn't have behaved like that with u..."

Before she could complete her sentence, Rohan pulled her into a tight hug. Ishu too rested her head comfortably on his shoulders.
Seeing them in that position Shivam's smile faded nd he turned away his eyes from them.

After breaking the hug Rohan too apologized "I'm also sorry Ishita!". Pain clearly visible in his voice.

"It's okay.." she gave him an assuring smile.

"Okay guys u people cut the rest of the cake aur maine pizza order kiya he wo bhi recieve kar lena. I'm just coming in a moment." Rohan informed nd went towards the terrace.

Hence Ishu nd Shivam started cutting the cake while Aku noticed a hint of abnormality in Rohan. She was noticing him all the while.

"Something's wrong with him. He's surely hiding something from us. Nahi nahi mujhe abhi usse baat karni padegi." She murmured to herself.

"Guys u people cut the cake. I'm just coming." Aku announced to Ishu nd Shivam who were too busy cutting the cake nd responded her with a small nod absent mindedly.

She walked towards the terrace nd found him standing there by the railing nd holding a diary in his hand.

But wait...he was weeping!

She walked towards him nd as soon as he saw her, he quickly wiped off his tears.

Aku remained standing by his side. There was a complete silence. After a long pause, Aku finally said in a low voice "I know that u still love her."

His head snapped towards her.

"Then why r u doing this? Why r u giving pain to urself?" She asked looking straight at his eyes.

He lowered his head.

"Rohan." She called him softly.

"Kya chhupa rahe ho tum humse."

He slowly lifted his head. Tears clearly visible in his dark brown deep eyes.
This time he didn't tried to control them anymore nd broke down.

He managed to say in a trembling voice "Aj main kuchh nahi chhupaunga. I'd tell the truth.."

"Akata" he chipped in a deep, broken voice.

She looked at her questioningly unable to predict his next words.

"I'm diagnosed with brain cancer. My life is hardly confined to more 2 to 3 yrs."

"Rohan!!" Aku couldn't believe her ears. She was looking at him while her chest felt empty at his words.

"Yaad he tumhare bday ke din mere sarr me bohot dard ho raha tha? Wo bhi isi ke liye ho raha tha.. At that time I avoided it coz I didn't wanted her to know about it. Mujhe pata he agar usko yeh baat pata chal jati to wo mujhe kabhi chhodna nahi chahti!"

He turned towards Aku nd said "I have barely 2 to 3 yrs left with me but she? She still have her whole life left with her. I can't let her ruin her life for me!"

"7 saal pehle jaise uske liye mujhe usey chhodna pada tha, zaroorat pade to ab phir se mujhe usey chhodna padega."

He paused nd wiped his tears. Aku wiped her tears through the back of her hand nd looked at him.
He sniffed nd resumed "Kismat bhi ajeeb khel khel rahi he humare saath. After boards I was pursuing my engineering course in Chennai. And after 1 yr I got diagnosed with this illness."
