*Kristel's POV*
I watched him get murdered, right in front of my eyes. My best friend, my brother, my close relative, die, right in front of me. I watched Liam James Payne get stabbed in his heart, with my very own eyes. I watched him take his very last breath, before his eyelids closed and his chest stopped rising and falling to the steady rhythm of his heart. I had watched him die. Die.
The woman was still on top of him, the knife still jabbed directly into Liam's heart, scarlet blood beginning to ooze out of his chest and run down his clothes and onto the cement floor. She suddenly pulled the knife out from his flesh, the whole weapon covered in Liam's warm, sticky blood, dripping to the ground.
I couldn't help but scream at what I had just seen, tears freely running down my cheeks.
She grinned and stood up, getting up from Liam's lifeless body on the ground and turning to face me. "It's your turn, hun," she said sickly-sweetly, her voice sending goosebumps down my skin.
She took a step towards me now, the knife facing out at me as she now held it in her hand. I was still on the uncomfortable bed, with no way of escape, other than the door that lay in front of me, being blocked by the psychopath. I quickly stood up onto my shaky legs, my vision blurred from the tears that ran down my face.
I wiped my eyes and looked around me for something that I could use to fight back with. My eyes caught sight of a pair of sharp scissors at my bedside, and I quickly reached for them, and threw them un-hesitantly at the woman. They hit her in her face, the sharp blade of the scissors creating a large gash across her eye. She screamed in pain, and dropped the knife that she held to the ground, immediately throwing her hands up to her now bleeding face.
I took this as my only chance to make a run for it, and ran towards the door as fast as my wobbly legs would take me. I ran out the door and instinctively ran to the right, hoping that it would lead me to the shining sun outside. I tried to run at a normal pace, but because I was so weak and hurt, I found my legs could only limp out of here. I soon heard the woman shout from inside the room.
"You can run, babe, but you can't hide!" she shouted, her voice automatically causing my stomach to drop and butterflies to fly.
I knew that she was coming now, and she'd be able to see me if I didn't get out of view in this hallway. I looked around me, meeting eyes with a door just a few feet away. I got to it as fast as I could, and got inside and shut the door, just as I heard the woman enter the lone hallway.
I let out a shaky breath, hoping that she wouldn't find me in here anytime soon, otherwise I was a goner for sure. I slid down the back of the door, a quiet thump filling the air as my body made contact with the ground. I then took the time to look at my surroundings.
The room that I had entered was almost pitch black, only a slight light filling the room from the holes in the wooden boards that covered up the windows and sunlight. Luckily, it wasn't dark enough that I couldn't see what was in the room with me.
I looked around, my eyes automatically catching a figure laying on the floor motionless a few feet away. I squinted to get a better view, and I let out a gasp when I realized who it was.
"S-spencer?" I stuttered, tears automatically filling in my hazel orbs and endlessly streaming down my cut up face.
My heart ripped in two at what I was seeing in front of me. Spencer was lying lifeless and cold on the ground, his entire body and clothes drenched in velvet, sticky blood from his head to his feet. His brown eyes were open halfway, staring into nothing. His chest was still, unmoving. He was dead. Spencer was gone. One of the people that I had loved so dearly was dead, and I had never even gotten the chance to say goodbye..
