The meeting of broken girls...
It was a few days later that Charlie Swan had officially decided he needed to put his foot down with his daughter who seemed to have fallen into a bad depression when her no-good boyfriend left her. Good riddance, in his opinion; however he hated seeing her so torn up.
It was inside the kitchen at breakfast watching his daughter play with her cereal instead of eating it that Charlie snapped, slamming his fist down on the table."Alright that's it. I'm sending you home to Jacksonville with your mother."
Bella Swan looked up from her cereal and startled at Charlie's abruptness. Slowly the words registered in her mind and her face crumpled.
"What did I do?" She asked meekly.
She had thought she was doing well, keeping her inner agony away from the eyes of others. She kept her grades perfect, never broke curfew, and never missed a day of school or work. She couldn't understand what had happened to cause Charlie to want to send her away.
Charlie scowled at her, making her shrink back into her seat."That's the thing Bells. You don't do anything, you haven't done anything but go through the motions since they left."
Bella flinched and closed her eyes at the mention of them. Even the mere thought of them caused the hole in her chest to bleed and weep.
Bella's eyebrows furrowed.
