We all admired Kartana's blades. The Professor and Rockruff ran a bunch of tests (not the crazy ones that scientists do by the way) and tried to see the strength of Kartana.
Steven started nicknaming it the 'annihilator' sometimes and he would hold up stuff to throw at it and see if it will cut through it.
"Nothing can resist Kartana the Annihilator!" Steven shouted, "Watch this!"
He took off one of his rings and tossed it in the air. Kartana whirred and it went SLICE, cutting it in perfect half.
"Whoa!" Lillie yelped.
Steven slapped his fingers against Kartana's blade in a handshake and he let it get on his shoulder next to Rowlet.
"I have never gotten that experience before," Kukui said, "First time I ever studied Ultra Beasts up close."
"Your mom will be proud," I told Lillie with a smile.
"Yeah...Gladion would too," she laughed, "They are off in Sinnoh for a bit so I'll be in charge for a while."
"I wish I was in your place," Iris called back, resuming her battle with Cilan.
Right now all I could think about is the fact that I didn't ask the professor or Steven about that stone-crystal thing. It almost looked like a Z Crystal but I couldn't be sure.
"Say, Steven..." I began, tapping his shoulder.
"Yeah?" He took his attention off Kartana for a moment and looked at me with a smile.
"Earlier—a lot earlier before we got here to the Alola—I found this crystal thing in Mossdeep with Lucario. I don't know what it was so I was wondering if the Stone Master is going to handle it?" I told him.
Steven tried to hide the face he was making but he couldn't so I let him laugh and took out my stone, handing it to him. Before Steven could open his mouth, Kartana went crazy and kicked it off his hand into the air. It's blades whirled around and it was going to slice it in half...
"NO DON'T!" Rockruff used Rock Throw and hit Kartana away, "DON'T SLICE THE STONE!"
Kukui picked it up and Kartana gave him a glare before floating down on Steven's head. We all looked at him and Iris and Cilan put their battle on hold.
"Amy where did you find this?" He asked.
"I—I mean, in Mossdeep? Sorta coincidence," I shrugged.
"If you know what it is then tell us!" Lillie said, leaning in to look.
"Whoa, it looks like it's fiery hot," Cilan wondered.
"Nice," Iris smiled.
"Solganium Z."
We looked behind us and the Professor almost backpedalled into me. The guy who spoke stepped forwards and his yellow goggles gleamed in the sun. That expression didn't change since the last time I saw him and a permanent scowl was all over his face.
His hand went through his white hair and took another look at the Stone.
"Solganium Z," Guzma repeated.
Steven didn't know who Guzma was and neither did Cilan. But I had a vague idea of his character. He changed a lot since I saw him. His hair was a little wilder and he was a bit taller than before. His eyes had deeper shadows under them making me judge his sleeping schedules lately.
"Guzma..." Kukui paused, "When did you—?"
"A long time ago," he said.
Guzma was quieter than before, sadder almost. I don't know what has he been doing all this time but something told me that I'm not supposed to know.
"Man, good thing that guy knew," Steven started.
"That guy?" Guzma repeated, giving us a look, "Is he new?"
"Yeah pretty new," Kukui nodded.
"Am I missing something?" Cilan asked.
"Guzma..."
Iris didn't like Guzma. She never did and never will but ever since he became a little bit more friendly around people, at least she'd look at him without going "I hate you".
Being a little nicer to people made him a little less hated but hey, that doesn't mean I don't miss the old snarky attitude he used.
"Hey Dragon Noob," Guzma rolled his eyes.
"Remind me again what is that?" Cilan asked.
"This is a Z Crystal...made especially to Solgaleo," Professor Kukui said.
"WHAT?!"

Hey buddies. It has been a while since doing an authors' note but unfortunately we were lazy and even though this is one of the shortest chapters ever, it took us an entire day, dealing with each other. What can we say? Tons of distractions surround us!
