Grian's POV
"Taurtis, why'd you go... When?!" I was in tears, on my knees.
"I can not tell you."
"Yes you can."
Taurtis stood, and turned. "I must go now. They've escaped."
"Who escaped?" I stood after him, grabbing Taurtis' shoulder. "Taurtis, you can talk to me."
Silence.
"No. I can't. Or else they'll take everyone else too." He looked back at me.
"All the hermits?" My eyes grew wide with tears. "We can save them! Just help us, Taurtis. You know the watchers are bad." I grabbed Taurtis' hands. "Please!"
Taurtis looked at me, dead in the eyes. "Gri--", he winced. Taurtis' head drooped down, then he looked back up at me. "Diamond." He paused again.
A perk to being a watcher was seeing a purple outline of another watcher's face. At least, the part covered by their mask.
I saw his eyebrows go down into an angry look, his eyes squinting at me. I step back. "Taurtis, please. Fight them with me! With the hermits!" I heard cheering. That must be the hermits!, I thought.
I focused my attention back on Taurtis. After realizing he had managed to get to the door, I watched him take a step out of the room. Before he left, I could very faintly see him mouth a word. It struck me, what he said. I sunk into a sitting position, tears in my eyes.
Xelqua.

Scar's POV
"We have to get out of here, quickly!", Xisuma says, breaking the cheers.
"But Grian's still in there!", I yell. Being the good neighbor I am, I must go back to save the Jungle Bandit. My neighbor, friend. I hear the hermits murmur in agreement.
"We can come back for him," Joe Hills says. "First, we have to get back to the portal, get back home, and plan. Prepare."
"But," Mumbo tries to argue. However, before he could finish his sentence, a high frequency sound crawled into our ears.
"Not again," I mumble. I gulp, looking up, trying to stay strong. I see a figure hovering down. It's getting closer, too. Is that God? Are we dead?!! No, it can't be God. There was a halo, but there were wings, too. There were multiple. More than three...
"The watchers!", Iskall yells over the noise.
"Is," Etho paused. "Is that a net?"
The hermits started panicking. The noise stopped. They stood up straight, rubbing their foreheads, nosebridges, ears, necks.

Grian looked down at the handcuffs.
"Magic Numbing Cuffs?!"
He looked around the room, the magic flame fading away. He picked up a stick. "Had Taurtis..." He smiled, "He helped me, didn't he."
The stick was short enough to spin around while in cuffs, but strong enough to break something. He spun it around and broke the chains. The chains and handcuffs faded away into specks of magic flying in the air.
He rushed out of the room. The corridors confused him, but he found his way to the roof.
He had followed a magic trail.

"Taurtis! There you are!", came a muffled yell from the top of the castle.
Mumbo Joe, Stress, Beef, and Ren looked up. Sure enough, Grian and the unknown watcher were standing up there.
"Grian!", Joe called, reaching his hand up.
"Did he just call that watcher Taurtis?", Cub asked. Various hermits nodded.
Mumbo and Etho looked up at the net. "It's coming closer!", Etho yelled. The hermits started to panic.

"Leave," taurtis warned Grian. "They'll be gone soon."
Grian grabbed Taurtis' wrist. "Then leave with us." He gulped and tugged Taurtis' cloak. "Please."
Screaming.
"What was that?!" Grian rushed to the edge, looking over to see his friends in a net. They were lifted off the ground. He looked up to see multiple winged people holding the net and pulling them up.
"I told you to leave." Taurtis took a step off the roof, flying up to the net.
Grian watched as his friends were taken away into the endless void ahead.
He fell to his knees, tears in his eyes, "Mumbo? Iskall? Joe?" His palm hit the roof, tears falling onto it. "Cub, Jevin? Ren? Stress?!" He yelled, his heart aching, pain in his chest. Tears streamed down his cheeks.
Anger and regret held him down. No matter, he stood and held his hand out.
In his palm was a flash of light. Magic swirled through his veins, arms, muscles.
His eyes turned from it's greenish-blue to a bright, bright purple
"I promise." Something appeared in his palm. Something pale, something flat but curved at the edges. A pale circle with the Watcher's Emblem on it. "I promise, I will come for all of you."
He held it close to his tear-filled face, a bright light emitting from the disk. It morphed, elongating to his face width, two stalactites hanging from the bottom edges.
"But first, I need back up."
