"Nothing can happen more beautiful than death."
– Walt WhitmanIt was the next day and students were starting to file in. The next term was supposed to start tomorrow and I was trying to snag as much calm and relaxation as I could before homework started to take over my life.
Strolling into my dorm room, I lie on the covers, staring silently at the ceiling.
"Are you alright?" Abby laughs and leaps on top of me.
"Yeah. I'm okay." I smile up at her.
"Did you go see Albus? I overheard Aberforth asking you to do so." She smiles up at me and I blink confused.
"Oh." I smile at her. "Thanks for reminding me. I'll head over now. Now get off me you fatty!" I haul her off me and she bursts out laughing.
"We'll be heading over to the Great Hall in around half an hour for dinner. Make sure to be there." She gives me a look, her grey eyes beaming.
"Alright." I smile at her, making my way downstairs, walking quickly towards Albus's office so that I could eat dinner quicker.
Knocking on the door, I shoot Albus a smile.
"Hey Albus." I grin at him and he gives me a tired smile back.
"Hello Valentine. How can I help you?"
"Just checking in on you." I beam at him.
Dumbledore gets up and welcomes me inside with a warm look on his face. "Come in. Come in. How are you Valentine?" He asks me as I sit down in the couch across from him.
"Good. Good." I shrug. "I mean as good as I can be after being kidnapped and tortured." I raise a brow at him.
He simply smiles. "I knew you'd get away from them. You always come out on top in these things you know."
"Doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice to have a break."
"Everyone always wants a break. Doesn't mean everyone deserves one."
