Chapter 12: Overthrown by the Thunder

​As Spark ran down a long, dark hallway, he started to wonder if he was even getting anywhere. Without his team around, everything seemed a little more uncertain. A little more dangerous. He was getting to the end of something, he could feel it. And he couldn't wait to get there.

As he was running, a group of enemies jumped out ahead of him and tried to ambush Spark.

"Hey!" He said. "I didn't even see you guys in front of me."

Glad to finally be doing something, Spark smiled and then tried out his new powers. The electricity clashed against the walls, creating an electric hallway. The walls flashed with bright light, as the whole hallway began to glow as the enemies were electrocuted where they stood.

"This power is awesome!" Spark yelled.

Eager to fight and use his power even more, Spark continued running until he found a huge, white marble room. All of the fixtures were gold. It seemed more like a museum than a fight arena.

Spark could tell it was the king's ship by the difference in wealth and class. Filled with anticipation, he entered a room that resembled a fancy throne room. To the side was a large, marble staircase that led up to a gold throne. The king was sitting on it, looking down at the puny earthling who'd made it all the way here.

"My name is King Ion," he said. "Why have you entered my ship, earthling?"

The king stood from his throne and laughed at Spark as he got closer to the throne.

"My name is Spark, and I'm here to stop you from destroying our planet." Spark smirked. "And this earthling already defeated your son. In fact, all your generals have been defeated by us earthlings."

"How dare you mock me!" yelled King Ion, as he rushes into combat.

They collide in an intense battle with fast combat. Spark is barely able to keep up with the king and is blow by blow, Spark gets closer to defeat.

"You're pretty strong for a crocodile," Spark said, trying to distract the king.

He began to carve out distance between himself and the king. Once far enough away, he stole an opening and shot an electricity beam straight at the king, who easily deflected. Light flashed through the throne room, then died.

"You took my son's gloves and his powers," he laughed. "Thought they'd be useful, didn't you? Too bad his powers were always weak against me."

King Ion's rough skin protected him from the electric shocks Spark continued to throw. They stung, but hardly did any damage.

"Just give up," he taunted. "I built up an endurance towards electricity by dueling my son. Your power doesn't effect me."

King Ion realized that Spark didn't know how to use his new powers to their full extent. So, he dashed towards Spark for an assault without concern. He overpowered Spark and smacked him with his tail, then disappeared before Spark could recover. Hit him to the floor from behind.

Spark realizes he's in a fight for his life, and starts to use his inner energy. Spark doesn't notice at first, but he turns into a new form which sends sparks flying all over the ship. His eyes began to glow with electricity coming from his aura. This gave him new speed and strength.

Amazed by his new abilities, Spark decides it's time to show his new powers off. Spark he dashed towards the king like lightening. King Ion tried to attack as Spark neared him, but Spark unleashed a combination of elite, electrical punches that were able to damage the king's tough skin.

King Ion was shocked that Spark's electric abilities were actually doing damage

. He realized that Spark was starting to access the full extent of his power, so he would have to grow stronger too.

"You actually think you have a chance against the King of the Reptonians?" He asked, as he took out his dual swords.

As the king reached for his swords, Spark also formed a sword with electricity. They charged at each other with their new weapons and an intense new battle begins.

The battle was equal, as they both landed damaging blows to each other. As a new tactic, the king started to spin from left to right and almost resembled a large drill.

Spark didn't know exactly what was coming, but he knew he had to end the fight soon. He was exhausted, cut and bruised. His muscles ached. His movements were getting slower. He could not get hit by that attack or he was finished.

As the fight went on, Spark slowly analyzed the king's movements and was able to find a weak point.

"I can see it now," said Spark.

As the king was jumping back and forth, Spark hit the right spot and destroyed the king's swords. Its shattered right in the king's face. He fell to the ground as he grabbed his eyes which were now bleeding.

For that second, the king let his guard down and Spark begins to charge electricity to a max level. Static started to fly throughout the room again and Spark charged while he had a chance.

"How dare you think you can charge in front of me!" King Ion screamed. The king started running to Spark, but it was too late. Spark unleashed a thunderous dragon punch. A giant electric dragon roared throughout the ship. Spark landed a direct hit on King Ion, breaking through his tough armor.

Spark called the dragon to come back down, and it roared before finishing off the king with a lethal blow. This drained Spark's energy and he fell to the floor in exhaustion.

Shortly after, Spark's team arrived to see the King defeated and Spark standing next to the body. "You did it!" Everyone screamed.

The rebellion group soon joined them in the king's hall, where they rested for a little while and discussed what they should do next.
