Hiya! A new poem is up!
It's based off the new song Shadow, which is the interlude to BTS' new album Map Of The Soul: 7! Ahhhh!! The song is so good! I can't stop watching the music video and replaying the song! Yoongi did such an awesome job!
I really love what Yoongi was trying to convey through this song. I tried to convey the same message that he was conveying.
Throughout the video, we see a Yoongi in a pale jacket. He tells us that ever since he was young he always wanted to be a rap star, a rockstar, a king, rich, have it all. He worked hard and now he has it all, but in order to receive it all he had to make up a persona or a "shadow", a version of him that's not really him aka a Yoongi dressed in all black. He wants to be himself, but he's afraid to fall and he's afraid that he'll only plunge deeper into being someone that he's truly not. Then closer to the end of the video, it has the Yoongi dressed in black telling the Yoongi in the pale jacket that no matter what he does he will never be rid of him and that they are apart of each other. Yoongi demonstrates that even though he has everything he could ever want, being an idol isn't easy and along the way you can lose yourself.
