Moving In

Michael pov

"Mother do we have to go over to the y/l/n house"?

"yes because y'all are my two children close in age with her" she smiles putting the cake in the counter.

"her"?

"her? and who's the cake for"? marlon asked dipping his finger in the cake icing.

"marlon don't do that"! she pushes his hand, "and yes , she's a nice little girl from out the state and cake is for them, a delicious greeting" mother smiles.

"no boys"? we need more team players anyway.

"um, not that i know of, but we shall see"!

"yeah, we shall" i roll my eyes.
Mother is a little to optimistic about these people.

Of course marlon doesn't care he's the type to just be comfortable around anybody.

"let's go boys" mother grabs the cake and her keys.

We make our way over to the neighbors house, "it's nice over here isn't it"? mother asked us.

"yeah" we simply reply.

There's boxes and a moving truck in there driveway. "hi"! mother says to a lady standing at the front door.

"hi, i'm y/m/l/n and this is y/n, my daughter" she shook her hand.

"I'm Katherine Jackson but you can call me Kate , these are my boys, Mike and Marlon" she points to us.

"hi there boys aren't you just the cutest! you must be the twins of the family"!she pinched our cheeks.

Y/n just stares us down.

"Oh, kids can go on in the house" she makes room for us to walk in.

There house layout looks just like ours , but a little bit different.

"you guys want something to drink"? she asked smiling at us. She has a southern accent.

"sure"

She brings us back two glasses of ice tea, "you guys new to the neighborhood or no"? she asked sitting in the chair in front of us.

"no, we uh moved here in the beginning of the year" marlon replies.
"oh"

"you like it here in california? it sure is hot isn't it"? i ask her

"yeah it's nice but it's hotter down south" she smiles.

"oh, what state are you from"?
"me and my mom are from alabama, and my dads from new york".

"is it nice down there"? i ask

"yeah, it's ok , i just was tired of seeing plain fields with cattle" she laughs.

"it's not a lot of buildings there"? i ask her.

"no, we lived in the rural area so i never really got to see anything besides that" she shrugs.

"You guys bonding"? y/n mother walks in with mother.

"yes mama" she replies.

"well that's good, here take the cake Ms.Katherine brought us" she hands her the cake and they leave back outside.

She dips her finger into the cake licking the icing, "you mama can bake" she sucks the icing off her teeth.

" yeah she's a good cook, your mother"?
"no, she couldn't cook for the gods" she laughs.

"you wanna come over to our house sometime? we have a pool and we have more siblings you'll like" marlon smiles.

"um sure, i think about it" she smiles.
"ok" we reply.

"ok, michael and marlon say good night to Ms. Y/N and Y/M/N it's time to go now" mother walks in.

"oh, kate i wish y'all could stay for just one more minute , i just enjoy your company" y/n mother pouts.

"I know, but the boys have rehearsal in the morning so i couldn't if i wanted to" mother frowns.

"bye y/n" we say in sync.
"bye , it was nice meeting y'all" she stands up.

They walk us out and watch as we walk down the driveway.

This was just to start off the new series i'm doing.!!
