Michaels pov

"that pretty young girl next door, y/n? is having a birthday party tomorrow at 5:30" mother smiled giving us our dinner plates. "ok? and what's that supposed to mean"? marlon asked "that means you guys are going, bigheads"! jackie laughed.

"no, name calling at the table jackie! and i don't know if you boys are going" she shrugged. "so, why did you tell us"? i asked totally confused. "because....this could be a good time for y'all to make friends"! she smiled. "my boys ain't being friends with no girls, they gone turn into sissy's"! joesph said staring at us.

"joesph stop.....you boys should be fine, plus i think it'll be some boys over there too" she said unsure. "your not sure are you"? i cross my arms. She looked away trying not to laugh. "MOTHER!! it's not funny, it's gonna be all girls over there, and all they do is paint nails and stuff" marlon yells. "y'all should be fine, just go and be on your best behavior"! she warned.

"marlon"? i whispered "yeah"? he whispered back. "do you think y/n's gonna invite us"? i turn over so i can face him. "it's a possibility" he whispered. "ok, well, goodnight" i turn back over. "night" of course marlon fell right to sleep, but i just stayed up letting my thoughts get the best of me.

I woke up to the feeling of someone tapping my nose lightly. Once i opened my eyes completely i seen it was janet. "mike you woke"? she said smiling. "yeah, what's wrong"? Janets usually in her room playing with toys or beating up the neighborhood kids or something. "oh, um, your pet rat got loose, he's in toyas room, she said come get your rat or she's gonna rip your head off" she smiled. She said this in the most calmest way ever.

"MICHAEL, GET THIS RAT"!!!!! she screamed down the hallway. I get out of bed walking down the hallway to see her on top of her dresser with a broom. "awww, come on , i bet you didn't even want to be in toyas ugly room anyway, did you"? i pick up my rat. "your welcome" i roll my eyes as she gets down from her dresser. "get out" she pushed me and janet out of her room.

"have you seen mother"? i ask janet as we walk back to my room. "she's outside, gardening" she smiled before walking away. I get dressed and brush my teeth, and go downstairs to talk to mother. "mother"? i called her name from the kitchen

"i'm out here mike" she yelled back. "goodmorning" i say hugging her. "more like good afternoon, you slept through the whole morning"! she smiled. "really"? "yeah". She had on her little garden hat and her cloves. I heard music coming from next door. "your little girlfriend is getting ready for her party" she nodded towards her yard. "stay here i'll be right back". "ok" once she was gone i took that as an opportunity to snoop.

I climb up in the bucket next to our fence and i peeped over seeing y/n sitting in a chair, drinking tea, and looking at a magazine. I ducked back down scared she might have seen me. I looked again seeing she had on a two-piece bathing suit and sunglasses. "you know i can see you right"? she took a sip of her tea. "um, yeah" i lied.

"are you watching me Mr.J"? she pulled her sunglasses down smiling. "no" i blush, she's a pretty girl. Her brown skin flowed in the sunlight. She got up walking over to me. "you are coming to my party today right"? she crossed her arms. "um, yeah, for sure" i feel real anxious. "MICHAEL! GET YOUR PET RAT"!! toya called again. "your sisters calling you" she smiled. "yeah, i know, bye" i jump down from fence running into the house to get my rat out of toyas room.
