Imana pov

I hear 2 little taps from my window, telling me that it's michael.
This is the only way we get to see each other. My father won't let me outside during the day. So mike climbs up to my window and we talk there.
"michael"! i squeal as i pull him inside hugging him.

"are you ok? did he hit you today"? he cupped my face.
"no, but he did yesterday"
He scoffs, "imana stop letting him hit you, you have to leave, come with me and i'll take you anywhere you like".
"Michael it's not that simple, he'll hunt me down if i leave him".
"please, we have to try something , he'll hurt you even worst if you don't come with me" he pulls my hand.
"no mike , i'm just...not ready ok"?
"ok" he hugs me.

I sneak out of my room , down the hallway to my fathers room and check to see if he's sleep.
He is. He's usually knocked out by this time. Always drinking and stuff. Sometimes i kinda wish that he drinks his self to death , that's the only way i'll know i'm safe.

I sneak back to my room gently shutting the door , locking it.
"is he sleep"?
"yeah, knocked out , always".
"i brought you something" he sat me on the bed.
I don't usually like people giving me stuff i didn't ask for.
"like what"? i ask looking at him.
"something" he pulls out a little black bag from his book bag.
He pulls out a sparkly diamond necklace, "here's a pretty gift for a pretty girl" he hooks the necklace around my neck.

"thanks michael, but you know i can't takes this" i hold back my tears.
"but i want you to have it, i care about you, imana i love you".
"oh thank you michael, i love you too" nobody has ever gave me something so valuable.
He goes in for a kiss but i pull away, "i'm sorry if i went to fast" he apologizes.
"it's ok , i'm just not ready to be jumping into stuff that quick" i lay back on my bed.

We just sit there in silence.Comfortable silence though. "mike, can you stay the night"?
He looked confused, i never ask him to stay for obvious reasons.
"are you sure? imana i don't want you getting into more trouble" he stood up.
"mike, just stay with me, ok"? i ask him sitting up.
"ok" he sits his book bag down. He lays in the bed with me pulling the covers over top of our head.

I wrap my arm around his neck pulling him in close to me.
He doe the same laying a kiss on my forehead.

I hear a loud bang come from my room door, "imana"! my dad yells.
He jiggles the door knob trying to get into my room.
"mike"! i shake him awake
"what's wrong"!? he jumps up
"you have to go NOW get your stuff and go, my fathers trying to get in"! i push him out the bed
"IMANA, OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR NOW"! he kicks the door.
"go michael"!! he puts his book bag on and climbs out the window.
"imana i can't leave you"! you whispers
"MIKE JUST GO"!

He kicks the door down, "what were you doing? huh? who was in here"?! he shouts in my face.
"nobody, i swear"
"yes there was, what's his name? was it that mike boy?! I TOLD YOU STAY AWAY FROM HIM"! he shouts in my face.
"no he wasn't here, please calm down"
"YOU LITTLE SLUT"! he slaps me to the ground.
"i'm sorry"!
"ILL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO BE SORRY ABOUT"! he pulls his belt off.

"STOP IT! PLEASE STOP , IM SORRY"! i scream to the top of my lungs.
"i love you"! he flings liquor on me, "say you love me" he flings liquor on me again.
"-i-i love you daddy" i crouch on the floor laying on my side.
"clean your self up , you look horrible" he flings liquor on me again.

He leaves out slamming my door.
I wince as i pick myself up off the floor. He left welts on my arms and legs. I stumble to the bathroom shutting the door.
