Third Person POV

After meeting Vivaan at the office, Misha entered her chachu's house to pick up Vaani. The entire day, she was debating about Vivaan. She entered the living room to see the entire family gathered there.

Misha's grandparents, Avi and Anu and her chachu and chachi were sitting in the living room. Even Vivaan's mother was there.

"Chachu I where is Vaani?" she questioned but she noticed the family had mixed emotions plastered on their faces.

Before she could say anything "Is it true Misha? Is Vivaan Vaani's father?" her chachu questioned her sternly. Her breath hitched hearing his words, how did he know?

Looking around the room, she saw that everyone was wanting to ask the same question

"Chachu... woh..." she couldn't complete her sentence. She couldn't lie to her family anymore

"I told you all, this girl is not worth our trust." Her chachi commented meanly

"Pooja let her answer" Misha's chachu asked her again "Is she Vivaan's daughter?"

Misha spoke slowly "Yes chach..."

Smack

Misha felt a strong sting on her left cheek and her vision blurred.

"Mom!" Misha heard Vivaan's voice coming from behind her where the door was.

Misha turned her head and saw that Vivaan's mom had slapped her. She looked towards her family and saw them angry and hurt at same time.

"Misha how could you lie to us this way?" Misha's chachu was angry at his niece.

Misha looked down in shame.

"I had told you this girl is not trustworthy! She lied to us about everything, Vivaan is Vaani's father and there is no Ayush in the picture" Misha's chachi screamed. And everyone's head turned towards her.

"You never married any guy after you left... isn't that true Misha" her chachi confirmed

"Yes chachi" Misha said again, her head bowed in shame in front of all her family, Vivaan and Vivaan's mom.

All of them were angry, confused, hurt, all of it.

"Your chachi, Pooja ji is right. You are not the person I thought you were Misha. I know you and Vivaan had a bad start. But that does not mean that you can keep my son away from his child. You kept that poor child away from her father and from the rest of the family" Vivaan's mother spoke.

Misha's grandmother came and held her elbow tightly " This is not how we all raised you.... not at all! No matter the circumstances, how could you di this crime Misha? How could you?" she spit out in hurt.

"It is not Misha's fault. I am to blame for everything......" Vivaan spoke. He couldn't take Misha crying like this. He was the one who made her run away, he should be punished not her. But before he could say anything

Misha spoke with a trembling voice "Vivaan and I were never in love. We had a bad start and then our marriage was a complete hoax. He hurt me and I didn't want my child to grow in his presence ... he was ..." and smack again.. Vivaan's mother slapped her again

"Mom! Please ! You can't just hit Misha like this" Vivaan got defensive

"No your mom is correct Vivaan" Misha's grandmother spoke "Misha should have dealt with this matter maturely. Running away is never the answer. I don't want to know what happened between you both but the one who suffered the most was Vaani. A child needs the love of both her parents. Misha you should have given him a chance. You should have allowed him to prove himself as a worthy father. and If he didn't then your approach could have been different. Instead, you thought for yourself not for your child. You were hurt, You were in pain, You did not want to be with Vivaan that does not make him a bad father. He never even got a chance to prove himself and poor little Vaani was away from her father and suffered the most" her grandmother's word burned holes in Misha's heart.
