Rain

Since Kaylee was my ride home and I left her there, I walked home. 2 miles of walking. With rain. Hard rain. Can life get any worse? As if on cue, even more rain poured from the sky.

I didn't want to think of Kaylee or the boys at all. I just walked and sang. I'm not much of a good singer, but I have a voice. I sang and cried. Singing loud, or singing soft. It didn't matter. I just had to get it out of me. At least nobody was around this place.

As I was singing my 6th song straight, a black car honked its horn and rolled its window down.

"April! Please get in the car and out of the rain!" It was Michael. Why would he care if he just hurt me?

"Ha! I'd rather die than be in the same car as you!" I walked faster, but his car still followed me.

"Stop being so stubborn and get in the car! Please!"

"Yeah! We don't want you sick!" This time Ashton spoke up from Michael's side.

"Well I'm already sick of you lot!" I kept walking. I knew I hurt their feelings, but right now, I don't care.

Suddenly, a pair of arms grabbed me and pulled me into their car.

"What do you want." I tried to stay calm and not hit one of their faces.

"We just wanted you to be safe. Kaylee's worried about you." Michael's clothes and hair were wet, so he grabbed me.

"Kaylee? The girl who backstabbed me? I think not," I crossed my arms and looked out the window, not making contact with them.

"April, please. You need to talk to her. She's been crying since you left. Just try talking to her." This time I looked at Michael, and nodded. I don't know why. Maybe it was because Kaylee was my only friend, or I still care for her. Or maybe I just want to get things over with.
