mingyu wasn't expecting that, his eyes widened and lips parted in surprise.

"w-wonwoo?" mingyu almost screamed, jumping back. "hi gyu." wonwoo gave the younger a tiny wave with an awkward smile, which made the younger's lips tug into a small smile.

mingyu was too indulged in the older's smile, but as soon as reality broke the spell, the smile that adorned his lips, fell. i took the pills, why should i hallucinate now? he isn't real. he isn't real. its just your hallucination. you're far away from home for god's sake mingyu. you know damn well, he can't be here.

"mingyu?" he heard wonwoo call out for him. "y-you aren't real, my head's messing with me, again." mingyu spoke, his lips quivering. he felt his lips go dry and tears were pricking his eyes, threatening to fall out. run. run. run away like the coward you are. and that's what mingyu did. he ran.

he doesn't know how much he ran, but he ended up pretty far from where wonwoo was. mingyu's mind couldn't wrap itself around what he saw. there's no way wonwoo would come all the way from korea.

he sat down on a log that lay in the lush green carpet of grass. the exhaustion made him dizzy and tired.
he searched his pockets to find an almost empty bottle of pills. "this shit is supposed to supress my hallucinations, not making me see people i don't want to." he said, crushing the bottle in his palms.

mingyu felt beads of sweat roll down his forehead and his lips going dry. "why him out of all people?" you know deep down you ached for his presence, mingyu.

after what it seemed like an hour which took mingyu to gather himself up. he hoisted himself off the log and started walking back, hoping the effects of the pills would've worn off by now.

the bushes along the familiar path were kissed a golden yellow by the sunrays, making it gleam. his thoughts seemed to travel back to wonwoo and the time they spent together back in korea.

mingyu sighed, wiping off a tear which rolled down his cheek. "i should stop moping and complete my assignment." convincing himself, he resumed walking.
