The group ran down the hall to find out what had happened. It was something bad, the screams said so. Lunar and Lucy stuck close to each other, as did Tao and Sayori. Harvey and Leon, however, stayed far away from each other, while trying to stay close to the other people. Lunar and Lucy stopped outside a door and looked inside. Nobody was in there, but they were close. Sayori and Tao looked in another, nothing but darkness. Harvey walked up to a door and looked inside to see what was within. He gasped in horror.
"Guys... It came from here." He said pointing to the door.
"Well, I think you should go in first. You found it, we'll head in after you." Leon said, a smirk forming on his lips. Everyone looked at him. They knew the experience would be worse since he was around, but they didn't expect him to be this bad. Harvey obliged though and opened the door. He stared at what he saw from outside of the room. There hung a pale, lifeless girl. She was called Rita, and her death made sense to everyone in the group who knew her. She didn't have many friends and her reputation wasn't great. Her hair was blonde, but it looked like it always had dirt in it. Her eyes were a sky blue, which made her look innocent. The reason for her poor reputation was because she frequently lied. The only person who had ever been there for her was Lunar.
They had been extremely close, and they even said that they loved each other. Lunar, however, felt uncomfortable once the relationship changed. They didn't speak as much and it just became awkward for her. Finally, she told Rita, who begged her to stay as her parents might be getting a divorce. Lunar's mind hadn't changed though, but she'd said they could stay friends. Rita agreed and they left it at that. The way she died made complete sense. Suicide.
"Harvey. This isn't what it looks like.." A trembling voice said. Harvey turned around. It was Zac and in his arms was a frightened and crying Marley. Harvey, looking at the situation, knew that Zac or Marley would never do this. Zac was sophisticated and wanted to make the school a better and safer place for the students. Marley, however, was a goofy and caring person. There was a downside to him though, like most people. He had something that most would describe as PTSD, but he refused to admit he had a problem. It was triggered by dangerous situations or when he was hurt and by himself, nobody knew why. Only Lunar knew, and she refused to tell anyone the reason.
"It's okay guys, you wouldn't do this..." Harvey said. He smiled to try and comfort them, but Marley didn't look up, he just stayed huddled in Zac's arms. Harvey had a look sympathy and tried to reach out and rub his back to make him feel better, but Zac looked at him and had an almost protective glare. Harvey took his message and took a couple of steps back. Lunar and Lucy were the next people to enter, followed by Leon, Sayori and Tao. Harvey knew what was about to happen.
Lunar looked up and her heart dropped, again. There was somebody whose heart she'd broken. And she was dead, hanging, limp and lifeless. Her eyes, once filled with emotion and life were now cold and empty. Lunar started to feel slightly sick and her body started shaking, violently. Her knees buckled and she fell to the ground with tear filled eyes. Lucy, being one of Lunar's friends, immediately started to try and comfort her. Marley looked up for the first time and looked at his sister in the same state he was. As much as Lucy tried to comfort Lunar with gentle reassurances, Leon's presence made Lunar feel worse. It was almost like he was taunting her, telling her that it was her fault. Lunar gave voice to her thoughts:
"It's my fault, I killed her. If I hadn't broke her heart and stayed being friends with her then she wouldn't be like this. I killed someone, Lucy. What have I done?" She kept saying things like this through tears until Marley came over and hugged her. Lucy joined in too, she knew that they would both help Lunar calm down if Lucy wasn't enough by herself. Leon, Sayori and Tao stared at the situation and the body. Sayori started to look frightful and Tao looked like he was in shock. Only Leon seemed calm and collected.
