Chapter 11: Partners

Chloe's POV:

"Hey"
"O, hi Alec" I say nervously
"Emma told me you wanted to talk to me about something?" He asked taking the seat next to me
"Actually yeah, well......um.., we haven't really talked for a while now and last time we did, you um...sounded really mad at me about something, so I just wanted to say....I was sorry...yeah" I blurt mentally slapping myself for the stupid speech I just made but it seemed to make him laugh.

"I'm not mad at you, I just.....forget it, does that mean you always like me to talk to you?" he asked with a small smile playing on his lips
"Maybe" I say and chuckle and he joins me
"OK, I'll call you everyday then" he says removing a strand if hair from my face
"And take me on dinners?" I asked, actually blurted out and he looks just as surprise as I am.

I mean, I like him taking me out for food and stuff but I really didn't mean to ask him that

"Yeah, I'll take you on dinners" he says and I smile. I'm so happy he isn't mad at me, I thought he wouldn't forgive me for......whatever it was I did and I wouldn't have been able to live with myself because he is actually my only friend, besides his sister Emma.

"Are you guys gonna keep staying there chatting all day, as much as I want you guys to keep smooching and all, I also want to go shopping and I can't go if Alec doesn't drive me and Alec won't drive me if you don't go, so let's go" Emma practically screams while leaning on the bedroom door. I blush as soon as she used the words 'smooch'. I literally imagine myself smooching Alec, Ha!, Alec doesn't really look like that kind of guy but come to think of it, dad doesn't look like that kind of guy but sure enough I know he has probably smooched mum, or some other lady before they got married or even....

"Is it okay with you Chloe?" I hear Alec ask but I was too distracted about my dad's smooching life to know what he's saying
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch that" I say with another small blush
"What Emma said, we're going shopping with her  but only if it's okay with you, she said she'll only go shopping when you arrive, she seems very fond of you" Alec repeats
"Seems?" Emma questions but we don't answer, answering her would prolong this issue
"Of course I'll go shopping with you guys, come on, let's go downstairs and I'll grab my purse" I quickly say and rush downstairs.

Zoe's POV:

I check the time again, 5:02.

It's two minutes past five and he wanted me to be here at four-thirty sharp. Why on Earth is he late?

I was about to call him for the fifteen time even though I knew I would be transferred to his voice mail when I saw him slide into the seat in front of me 

"Aaron, I was already loosing hope, I thought you would have left me here all alone" I say with a big small spread across face
"Just the way you left me for that punk?" He asked still angry obviously
"Look babe, I didn't leave you, this is all planed, I did this because my sloppy sister wanted to get married to him before our marriage and you know how I like......"
"Our marriage?, and who said we were going to get married?" He asked leaving me puzzled and confused and shocked and surprised. OK they all mean the same thing but to lay emphasise.......

"I thought.....um......you were my first serious relationship so....I.....Aaron..." I couldn't even make a complete sentence, I feel like a total fool and he found this funny, he was actually laughing....at me
"Look here babe, if you really loved me you wouldn't have gotten married to Eric" he says calmly and I couldn't help but stay quiet, I needed to think of the right things to say

"I'll divorce him, just give me two months to be sure that Chloe won't ever go back to him again, then I'll divorce him and get married to you, I swear" I say, I know I sounded desperate but I couldn't help it, I freaking love him
"What if I want to get married under those two months?" He asked
"You won't feel the need for another woman because I'll still be there for you" I point out
"So you'll cheat on your husband?" He asks smirking
"Well, he's technically not my husband" I say and he gives a laugh that makes me feel uncomfortable as fuck, the things he does to me
"How about we ditch this place and go somewhere more.....fun?" He asks with a smirk, I felt a lump in my throat which I quickly swallowed.

I don't want to feel bad for Eric while I spend quality time with Aaron, the guy I really love.

Chloe's POV:

"Look at those shoes, I would have totally bought them but they would look so terrible with my eyes, like eww. And take a look at that back, damn I'm do getting one of those" Emma chirps in, again as she goes to take a look at another accessory, again.

We got here a few minutes ago and it basically feels as though we've walked around the whole store. I'm not usually a fan of shopping, I mostly go to shopping malls when my mum wants to punish me and reward Zoe so shopping malls is always like a little prison for me.

"You don't see anything you like?" Alec's voice disrupts my thoughts
"No, not really" I lied, I saw a few things I would have love to buy but I don't have enough money to afford them, I don't have a job yet (pathetic, I know) and I already finished all my allowance on my.....wedding preparations. I'm practically broke.
"Seriously?, nothing?" he asks again
"Sort of" I mumble and he gives out a small laugh, something about the laugh makes me feel like he could see right through me
"Well, I saw  something you might actually like" he said and next thing, he was placing a golden necklace with the word 'Chloe' on my neck, I'm not sure he bought it from the store because it had my name on it, he must have had it made by a blacksmith or something. He goes behind me and pushed my hair to the side as she does the hook, I want to thank him but no words come out from my mouth, no one except my dad has ever given me a gift before, not even Eric, we mostly just had a few snacks together but he has never gotten me anything

"Ooh, am I interrupting something" Emma says, bringing me back to reality. Alec moves a few feet away from me and the fire I refused to accept I felt when we was near me, suddenly quenches.
"No, nothing really, Alec was just showing me something" I say nervously
"You guys don't have to act all shy around me, for crying out loud, you're getting married, there's nothing to be ashamed of in showing some affection to your soon to be partner" she says putting her hands on her hips as she rolls her eyes leaving me in shock.

"Married?"
