Chloe's POV:
"Chloe, you in there?" I heard dad ask from the other side of my room door
"It's open" I yell back and with that he came in
"So, I knew you wouldn't forget about your pancakes" he chuckled
"Yeah, but I almost did" I said giving a nervous chuckle. I know I'm supposed to be used to mum's rude remarks, but they still hurt
"Don't worry about your mum, you know she's just like that" dad said as if he were reading my thoughts.
When I didn't respond, he sat on my bed and snatched a pancake from my plate
"Hey, dad, you know I don't like messing with my pancakes" I groan and he laughs and soon enough I joined him ignoring the tear drop from my eyes for my lost pancake
"See, you're all laughing again, that's the you I always want to see, just keep smiling" be said trying to comfort me
"Even when you mum plans your twin sister's sister's wedding with your fiancé?" I asked. I don't why why that uncomfortable question came into my he's but I knew that I really needed an answer
"To be honest with you Chloe, that was all messed up, no body knew you were getting married to Eric apart from Eric's and our family, your mother had announced to everyone that it was Zoe's wedding, even I didn't understand why she did that, I didn't know any thing they were planning". What? Is that the reason why she told me not to invite people, she told me she didn't want a full hall and I should leave the planning and guest list to her, I couldn't even tell any of my friends, she left me alone in this house while she went to an hotel with Zoe to get her prepared for my own wedding?, no wonder everyone looked at me like a mad woman when I stepped foot into the church with a wedding gown.
"But don't think about it Chloe, this oy means that Eric was never meant to be yours, if something is meant for you, no matter the push and shove, it will always get back to you" dad finishes with a broad smile on his face and then an idea hit me
"What if Zoe and mum are my push and shoves?, what if Eric is meant to be mine and he will still get back to me?" I ask with the last bit of faith I still have but instead his smile faded away and he shook his head
"You don't get it, do you?" He asks "You'll understand things better as time goes on but I just want you to give up hope of Eric, you have to move on and make something meaningful out of your life, don't let him know he hurt you, never, let him know he hurt you" he continues not giving me a chance to answer his first question before snatching another pancake from my plate and leaving me stunned. He should know that I'm not good at understanding advices.
Many people have a problem of not being able to give out an advice but I'm different, my problem is not being able to understand the meaning of an advice.
I pick up cherry from the other side of the bed, taking in the memories of how I got her and how I re-got her from Zoe, come to think of it, it's pretty weird naming a bright purple koala, Cherry, but I still love it anyways. I love the sentimental value I have for her and my charm bracelet which practically never leaves my wrists. Never.
"O Cherry, do you understand any thing dad just said?" I asked and of course the stuffed toy gave me no response
"Me neither, but I know he was trying to tell us something meaningful that might probably help our future"

Zoe's POV:
"Good morning" I greet the Eric's grandma as I climb down the stair case to grab some breakfast from the kitchen. I'm having a huge hangover today, this is why I hate drinking but I still so it anyways. I decided to greet Eric's grandma because she's the only one downstairs, I know how that old woman can get and I don't want her trouble especially when Eric is not at home.
"Yeah, good morning princess, your lunch is waiting for you on the dining table" Eric's grandmother sarcastically remarks
"It's Afternoon already?" I ask rushing to the living room
"Is it something new, you never wake up early and of course you came home drunk last night, we are even surprised you woke up a few minutes past two, we were expecting you to be up by seven" she adds with an annoying chuckle
"Where is Eric?" I asked ignoring their remarks trying to change the topic from my rising time
"Somewhere away from you, trying to get himself a life. Ever since he married you I could tell he lost his sense of living" she said again still laughing and making mockery of me.
I ignored her and headed over to the dining room to grab my food. Luckily for me, it was pasta. I love pasta so much, my mouth is already watery.
I take my fork and go straight to down my food. One spoon of the delicious looking pasta and I started spitting and choking, this shit has too much salt!
"What the freaking fuck is this?" I shout so Eric's grandma can hear me which worked because soon enough she was standing beside me in the little dining room.
"What's wrong?" His grandma asked sarcasm dripping in her voice making it obvious she knew exactly what was going on
"Who made this piece of shit?" I asked angrily
"Well, I did, you don't like it?" She asked again still in her sarcastic and mocking tone
"It's too salty, no one can eat this shit" I respond trying to control my anger
"Well, I can, that's what we all ate for lunch and no one complained so enjoy your meal princess" she said again
"Liar, you did this on purpose to torture me"
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't or maybe I totally did" she replies with a toothless grin. OK, fine, she's not toothless but no one would stop me from picturing her that way
"Why would you do this?" I questioned even if I wasn't sure I would be happy to hear the answer"
"I want to teach you a lesson, one, never come to this house late anymore, two, never come here drunk, three never wake up late, four, never cuss at me, five always take a shower before you go to bed and before you come down from breakfast and lastly learn to make your own food, break one of these rules and next time I'll be shoving the salt between your thighs" she said before walking away from the kitchen completely.
I didn't want to admit it earlier but I'm kinda scared of Eric's grandma, she gives me the creeps and I think I have just lost my appetite.
