IM BACK BITCHES

sorry that was cringe

Anyway, I'm back with a new chapter! This is my least favorite one, I'm not gonna lie. It looks and feels really childish to me.

Also, I just wanted to make it clear now: I gave the sonic an accent in between Jaleel White and Martin Burke, so I hope it's not too annoying. It's the only voice I could see classic snocc having. Anyway, enjoy it!

SSS

His head ached.

That was the first thing that Sonic came to terms with when he regained consciousness, letting out a small groan. Slowly opening his eyes, he was greeted with blurry vision, and he could only make out the darkness of where he was. Even the whites of his gloves and socks or the golden shine of his shoe buckle were swallowed by the darkness. Yet, maybe that was an effect from the throbbing in his head. He had to squint a little to reduce the pain, and it might've been limiting his sight boundaries. Other than his head, his mouth was also rather dry, and there was an uncomfortable soreness in his neck. Why did he feel as if he had gotten slugged with a baseball bat? Like he'd been hit with a truck? He had no idea, but God did he wish it could stop.

He put his fists to his eyes to rub away the sleepies and clear his vision. With a small yawn, he opened his eyes once more, now being able to see the depth and color of his surroundings.

The light green wall - had he saw this before?

And then it hit him. This wasn't the park, but no other than Scrap Brain Zone, a place he nearly forgot existed. It was weird - he knew that - but you probably wouldn't remember all of Robotnik's lairs either if you had been on as many adventures he had.

Scrap Brain or not, this was a section he didn't remember running by. Let's see...what was he dealing with?

Looking around a little bit more, he saw that he was trapped in a glass dome yet again. Sad, wasn't it? Robotnik never, ever learned from his mistakes. He was capable of escaping now, but leaving without saying hello to his friend would be outright rude! He'd wait for him alright, give him a fair game.

"Oww..."

A small, childlike voice caught his attention.

Tails!

He looked to his right to see Tails trembling, curled into a little ball. With that one image, today's events rushed back to the blue blur's mind; they were at the park, he went to get food, he made the foolish mistake of leaving Tails alone, and...when he turned around, he saw Metal with Tails in his arms. Unfortunately, whatever happened next, he couldn't recap.

"Little bro?" he asked softly, crawling over to the shaken up fox. "Heya, pal, you alright? It's okay, buddy, i-it's just me."

Tails hesitantly peeked up, showing instant relief at the sight of his older brother. He rushed into Sonic's arm, burying himself in his chest. He knew that Sonic wasn't exactly the hugging type; he didn't like mushy stuff, and he especially didn't like to talk about his feelings or his past. At the moment, Tails didn't care. After all that he's been through, he needed at least one hug.

"Aww, it's okay, Tails...you're gonna be okay..."

While it was clear that he had been knocked out before coming here, it was still a mystery on what had happened to Tails. If he was crying like this...

"S-Sonic, I was scared," he murmured quietly with a shaky sob. "W-when Scratch gave you a-a shot and you passed out, I t-thought you were hurt! You were so pale..."
