As she fell the air rushed around her whipping her hair across her face and the wind  screaming past her dulling her hearing as she fell. Slowly she turned around and let her dragon form burst out into life. She closed her eyes, basking in the powerful and freeing sensation that came with changing, the feeling  of pushing through the air as her wings extended and caught the currents that swirled around her  in the air. Her new muscles rippled as she pushed them downwards and  she skyrocketed up past the trees of the training ground and up further past the clouds and a new blast of wind roared past her.

Aliesia closed her silver slitted dragon eyes that saw everything around her with amazing clarity, and let out a  peaceful sigh as she breached the tops of predawn clouds that had been moving above her.

After getting comfortable in her new form for a while to memorize every feeling and the full length of herself as she grew with the years, she moved into the next part of her training. She stretched her wings out a little farther to stretch them before she began moving again and tilted to the side dipping as she went and pulled her wings to her side dropping instantly.

She completed a few rolls and pulled back into the air dipping into dives quickly pulling her wings to her body to dive and thrusting them back out again in her ascent trying to make herself push quicker, faster and faster than she used to be until her muscles burned and her lungs hurt . As she dipped lower again she came back into the cover of the tree and she wove and whirled through them as if they were towering enemies. Twisting and spinning, digging her claws into the dirt when she got too low to the ground, wrapping her massive taloned hands around the redwood trunks  to spin and push her as she went.

Much later when she could hardly breath or move a limb she maneuvered her way to the ground dragging her legs to flop down next to a slow moving stream. She landed lightly on the ground with a huff and pulled her wings against her side. Sidled up next to the cool stream she drank deeply and rested under one of the trees that was providing excellent shade.

Aliesia closed her eyes and inhaled deeply calming her breath and slowing her pulse, enjoying the peace that the morning sun and soft breeze brought. After finally calming her racing heart she opened her mind to the nature around her as she laid her head on her forelegs there in the shade and let the sounds of the morning bird songs and other animal sounds scurrying around her fill her senses until she could almost feel where every one of them were moving around her.

She felt utterly content and enthralled by what was around her, enjoying the simple fact of life that even the smallest of creatures had. But a gnawing foreboding began to prick at her mind, telling her that this might be the last time she felt peace for a long while. Tossing her head she pushed that feeling aside, favoring the peaceful simplicity over the negativity.

Slowly she became aware that there was a steady thrumming beat through the air that was pulling closer to her and smiled a toothy grin. She opened her eyes and and scanned the sky for the source of the sound and a large , multi faceted, obsidian dragon came into her view.

If she were any other dragon she would have bristled and waited to pounce. But this one was familiar to Aliesia. Cameron she thought and let the smile tug even farther at the corners of her mouth.

Hey everyone! Just updated this chapter and added some things that I thought might make this chapter a little better. I've been wondering if I should still keep Reina as a second main character or if I should just focus on Aliesia? Also, do you all prefer longer chapters or shorter ones with more frequent updates?

So, let me know what y'all think! 😆
