Okay... I can do this...

I found a window that lead outside. I could escape now.

Yet... my mind kept wondering to that door. What was in there? Why was their screaming?

M-Maybe just a small look back. What if someone needs my help?

I let out a small sigh before turning around. Whoever's in there better be glad that I have an over whelming amount of sympathy.

I began to slowly limp away from my escape way. My hopes were high. Some may say a little to high.

I finally made it back to the large metal door. I felt so drained of all energy. My leg was hurting even worse than before now.

Gosh, this was such a pain. Hopefully I can find a way to get into that room.

I'm not sure why I wanted to be a hero in this situation. Why did I feel so compelled to this... this room.

I just... had to... had to see what was behind this door. This damn door.

Hours passed like seconds. I tried almost everything. I searched for any flaws in the door yet I couldn't find any. I looked around a bit for maybe something that could help me, yet I came up empty handed.

A sigh escaped my mouth as I fell to the hard cold ground entirely exhausted.

It felt so lonely in this hallway. The emptiness I felt was exhausting to me. Why was it so empty in here. W-Where was everyone?

What was I even doing? Why did I feel so... so set on escaping. My thoughts filled my head.

How did I even know I was in any danger? What if they were trying to help?

T-They were doctors... a-and nurses. B-But... my gut was telling me to run. Run as far as I can... but why?

I felt my heart skip a beat as I heard footsteps nearing me.

I didn't budge. I stayed put. I trembled as I stared down at the floor I was kneeling on.

The footsteps finally stopped right next to me.

I heard the person carefully kneel down. Their hand gently touched the top of my head, slowly moving my hair back.

"You must be exhausted..." The man spoke in a calm voice.

I looked up finally and confirmed my suspicions. The doctor from before was crouching down right next to me. His eyes felt soft...

I tried to speak but my words only came out in mumbles.

"Shh... You need to get some rest, Tenko." The doctor spoke in a soothing voice.

The doctor then slowly helped me up to my feet.

My lips shuttered as I tried to think of something, just anything to say to this man. Explain myself.

Yet, he just slowly escorted me back to the room I was previously in.

I felt my one working legs begin to tremble as he sat me down on the bed.

"Now, tell me... why'd you leave this room?" The doctor asked as he fiddled with some things on the counter next to him.

"I-I um..." I didn't know what to say. Why was I out there on my own?

He let out a sigh before turning to look at me.

"You're definitely a curious patient... but hasn't anyone ever told you?"

I felt a shiver run down my spine as he got closer to me.

"Curiosity killed the cat."
