We grabbed our things, packed our bags, and headed towards the door.

"You got everything?" I asked Abby.

"Yeah, you?"

"Yeah," I said.

"Then let's go."

"We'll be back, mom," I said and walked out of the house.

We walked over to where we hid our guns and headed towards the park. Ellie and Dina were already there waiting for us.

"I hope you know what you're getting yourselves into," Abby said.

"It's like what Ellie said, my friends business is my business," Dina said.

"We got a long ride ahead of us. Let's get going," I said.

We walked towards Abby's house and we got in her car. She drove out of the driveway and off towards the outskirts. Ellie and Dina had fallen asleep. I tried to stay awake for Abby's sake since she was driving and when we reach their territory, they would shoot at us on sight. So I had to stay awake in case they did shoot at us. When we reached the outskirts, Abby drove off into some part of the woods and hid the car.

"We're here," Abby said.

We got out of the car and walked towards where the buildings were. There were dividers from highways that were placed throughout the area before the buildings.

"Be prepared for traps," Abby said. "Knowing them, they probably trip wired this entire area before the buildings. To prevent from people getting in there."

"Where do you think they have your father?" Dina asked.

"They most likely have him in that building over there," Abby said and pointed to the big building in the center. "So let's get to the outer buildings to see if we can manage to get ammo and such."

"Let's get a move on," I said and we jumped over the dividers.

"Be prepared for anything," Abby said.

We carefully made our way through the giant field like area before reaching a few of the smaller buildings. We headed inside one building to see if we could find any resources. We found some ammo and some tools to make a Molotov cocktail.

We headed back out and we heard whistling. We ducked behind anything we could and we peeked over to see Scars were starting to walk around the area we were trying to go to.

"Where is that son of a bitch?"

"He has backup with him. Be careful while you're patrolling."

"Does that mean Tommy and Joel are here?" I whispered to Ellie.

"Most likely. We need to find them and group up with them," Ellie said.

"First, let's take these guys out."

"Y/N, head up to the roof and see if you can snipe them from above. We'll keep them distracted if need be," Abby said.

"Got it," I said and headed back inside the building.

I made it to the roof and slowly crawled towards the ledge. I pulled out my rifle and opened up the scope. I shot the one in the head and the other one was looking around trying to find me. I shot him in the chest. I looked around to make sure there were no other Scars heading our way.

"All clear," Abby said.

I made my way back down towards them and we headed to the other buildings. Since we were in a big area and had a lot of ground to cover, the sun was beginning to set.

"We should find a place to stay for the night," Abby said.

"Wait," Ellie said and looked at the ground. "Tracks."

"Could be Scars," Abby said.

"They look like Joel's boots," Ellie said and followed the tracks.

"Be careful, Ellie," I said and we followed her.

It led into this one building with some light emitting from it. We peeked through the tinted windows to see that there were two men sitting around a small fire. Ellie made her way towards the door, which was locked. She pulled out her pocketknife and took off the lock. As soon as she opened the door, bullets came flying at her. She ducked and shouted at Joel.

"Fucking hell, it's me Joel!"

"Ellie?"

Joel came towards the door and looked at all of us.

"What the hell are you doing all the way out here?" Joel asked.

"Get inside before anyone sees us!" Tommy called from inside.

"Get inside," Joel said and we headed inside.

Joel closed the door and pushed a bookshelf in front of the door.

"What the hell are you four doing out here?" Joel asked.

"I came to get my father," Abby said.

"Abby, we have everything under control," Joel said.

"I wanted to come help. And everyone did as well," Abby said.

"We appreciate the help, but you four are going to get yourselves killed out here," Joel said.

"So will you. You don't know how many Scars there are," Ellie said.

Joel sighed, "It would be pointless to send you back home since you came all the way out here. Might as well rest for the night. But tomorrow morning, we're splitting up. We need to cover more ground. This way we can."

"Right," we all said.

In the morning, we all headed out in different directions. Ellie and Dina headed back to where we came to get that side. Joel and Tommy headed towards the middle where the giant building was. And Abby and I headed in the opposite direction where Ellie and Dina were going.

"Stay sharp, Y/N," Abby said.

"Right," I said.

We walked through all of the smaller buildings to gather any resources we need. We grabbed any medical supplies we might need and carried on. We stopped here and there for breaks since we were halfway to the meeting point. Since Ellie and Dina were covering the opposite side, once we meet in the middle, we're going to head into the middle to meet up with Tommy and Joel.

After our break, we made our way towards an area that seemed oddly quiet. The other areas were quiet, but this gave off an eerie silence. I was walking in front of Abby when she called out to me.

"Y/N, watch out!" she yelled.

I was about to take a step, but a Scar had tackled me to the ground.

"Get the hell off of her!" Abby yelled and shot the guy in the head.

She was about to help me up, but she was tackled and pinned to the ground.

"Abby!" I got up, but was tackled once more.

Two Scars came out from wherever they were hiding and knocked us out.
