"Have fun tonight, dear," my mother said.

"I will, mom," I said and walked out the front door.

Abby was parked in the drive way with her father's truck. I got into the passenger seat and got ready.

"You ready?" she asked.

"Yeah."

She drove out of the drive way and off to wherever we were going. She gave me no details as where we were going. The two of us talked to one another about how school was coming up and what kind of classes we were going to take. While I didn't lie to her about what classes I wanted to take, part of me wanted to tell her right now what was going on, but I knew I had to save it for later. I didn't want to ruin the entire date before it barely begun. We pulled up to Mount Rainier National Park. She drove to this one spot and parked the truck.

"Wait here," she said and got out of the truck.

She walked around back, took off the cover that was on the trunk and put it in the backseats. She grabbed something out from the back and put it in the trunk.

"Alright, you can come out, Y/N."

I got out of the truck and walked over to the back where Abby was standing. I looked at the trunk to see there was a mattress there with some pillows and blankets.

"Are we stargazing tonight?" I asked, a smile on my face.

She nodded her head, "They said this would be the clearest night to see the stars."

I smiled, remembering what she had said to me back when we first got together. I am her stars and she is my moon.

"But we do have a bit of time before the sun goes down. How about we take a walk?" she asked.

"Alright," I said.

I reached down and intertwined my hand with hers. We walked around the national park until the sun went down. We walked back over to the truck and she helped me into the back. She climbed up and we sat on the edge of the mattress, looking up at the sky was the moon was slowly starting to rise. I smiled as I leaned into her shoulder. She wrapped her arm around my waist, pulling me closer to her. She pressed a light kiss on my head before resting her head on mine.

"I love you, Abs," I said.

"I love you, too, Y/N," she smiled.

When the stars finally appeared in the sky, that was when we both laid down on the mattress to look up at them.

"Ellie would love it here," I said.

"She interested in space?"

"She loves space. I should tell her about this place."

"I'm sure her and Dina would have a nice night here," she said.

"Yeah," I smiled and looked up at the stars.

"Do you know why I brought you here?"

"Other than a date night, I have an idea."

"Lay it on me."

"I am your stars and you're my moon."

"You got part of it right."

"What's the other part?"

"I wanted to come out here with you because my mother and I used to do this with my dad. Whenever she told me that I will find my stars one day, I didn't believe her and thought I had already did when I came here. That was back when I was pretty young and didn't know what she meant. Now, I know exactly what she meant when she said that to me. Now that I'm here with you, I have found both of my stars. The real one in the sky and you," she smiled over at me.

I smiled at her and kissed her forehead, "That was really sappy."

"I'm not the best when it comes to that sort of thing."

"You're getting a little better at it. I know how you are in terms of talking about your feelings."

"Oh, before I forget," she sat up and dug her hand into her pocket.

I sat up and she looked over at me. She took in a deep breath before letting it out, trying to calm her nerves.

"I wanted to give this to you a while ago, but my dad said to wait until I brought you here. So I decided to wait. And I am glad I did because I knew I wanted this to be special. I knew I wanted to have some meaning behind it and thankfully, I did wait. Because I think it turned out well. And I hope you like it," she said and opened up her hand.

Sitting on the palm of her hand was a sliver ring. I picked it up and saw it was more than just a silver ring. There was a star and a moon engraved on the outside. On the inside, it said "You are my stars and I am your moon." I smiled and placed it on my finger.

"It's a promise ring. A promise to you that I will be there for whenever you need me. We may not see each other on clear nights like this, but we will see each other," she said.

"Abs, I love it," I said and hugged her. "Thank you."

She hugged me back and kissed my cheek before pulling away.

"T-There's something I've been keeping from you," I said.

The expression on her face dropped.

"What's wrong, Y/N?"

"When I told you that my mother was getting a new job at the end of the month," I said.

"Yeah. What about it?"

"We're moving."

"M-Moving?" she stuttered.

I nodded my head, "Yeah. We're moving."

"How far?" she asked.

"An hour and a half away."

"C-Can't you stay with us? I can ask my dad if he will be ok with that."

"I don't want to be a burden on you and your father."

"You won't, Y/N. You did so much for me when my father went missing. It only seems fair we do the same."

"You don't need to repeat that kindness, Abs. Besides, my mom already said she's not going to allow that."

She nodded her head and looked away from me.

"I'm sorry, Abs."

She shook her head. She wrapped her arms around me and made me sit on her lap. I wrapped my arms around her neck and rested my head on her shoulder.

"Even on cloudy nights where we can't see one another, we know that we're always going to be there," she whispered.

"We can be thousand of miles apart, but no matter what," I said.

"We'll be there," we said together.
