"No, I was doing to go see if I could find a snow cone place, and I was going to see if she wanted to come. But, since she's not here, would you like to come?" I asked trying not to embarrass myself further.

"Sure. I think I know the perfect place." He chuckled, and we both stood. Twenty minutes later we were sitting in a court yard filled with people talking, and laughing. Venders were around selling things, and fake witches were telling people their futures, while we were eating our snow cones.

"This place is so beautiful." I said staring in amazement at all of the people, and the buildings.

"Isn't it? Do you know who originally built New Orleans?" He asked smiling, and I leaned forward excitedly.

"Who?" I asked excited.

"Klaus, and his siblings. After I had grown up, and became a vampire, Klaus found out Rebekah, and I still had feelings for each other." He said, and I interrupted him.

"Still?" I asked confused, and he smiled.

"When I was a child Klaus took me in as his own. As I grew Rebekah would teach me how to fight, Elijah once taught me poetry, and how to read, write, many things to do with literature. Anyway, as I grew I developed feelings for Rebekah. When he found out he gave me a choice, stay with Rebekah, and never become a vampire, or become a vampire while she was daggered. I chose to become a vampire because even though I knew she would be angry, we could find a way to be together. So, ninety years later he un-daggered her. I knew she still cared for me, but we both knew that we couldn't be together because Klaus wouldn't allow it. So, we called her father, and led him to Klaus. What we didn't know was that night Klaus was going to let everyone know he knew that we were sneaking around, and he gave us permission to be together. We felt awful, but we couldn't change what we had done. When Mikael finally showed up he killed the opera house actors, and everyone in it, and tied me to a makeshift X. I was left for dead while he burnt the city down because the people cared for Klaus, and they were gone. I ended up re-building the city." He said chuckling while shaking his head.

"I'm sorry." I said, and he shook his head smiling.

"Its in the past." He said, and he stood.

"We should head back." He said, and we threw away our trash heading back to his place.

"Come on." He chuckled as I was gazing at everything while walking slowing. Klaus would let me look, and he wouldn't rush me. I thought, and I immediately felt guilty.

"Hello, Love." I heard a British accent say, and I stopped as I felt my heart stop.

"Klaus Mikaelson, my sire! What are you doing here?" Marcel asked as I had yet to turn around.

"I heard of a beautiful young lady, and I had to come see if the rumors were true." He said.

"And?" Marcel asked.

"The rumors are quite true, but as much as I enjoy the view of your backside. I would love to see your face, love." Klaus said, and I let out a breath as I slowly turned around trying to not show my eagerness.

"Hey, Klaus." I said enthusiastically as I faced him.

"Hello, love." He smirked.

"You didn't tell me you had a part in building New Orleans." I said, and he chuckled.

"Well, I think I'll let you too talk. I'll see you later Caroline." Marcel said, and he rushed off.

"Well the was quite rude." He said, and I rolled my eyes.

"So! Are going to show me your city?" I asked, and he smiled big as he held his arm out for me. I smiled, and latched my arm with his.
