《——————————————————————————————————》
The ghouls are coming.
Who are they? You might ask.
They are not important, if you can't tell. They are the factors of survival, and products of evolution. That's who they are. Then why did you use 'who'?
Because they bear a heart. They have feelings. And they are desperate. Even if they are beasts. And that's what counts. They are on the move, and Akira is concerned.
Can there be another way?
After her attempts in writing the plans out (all plans being quite functional and are very good plans that involves minimal damage) which all ended up in the trash bin, the sky has already turned golden-white, seeping gentle blue light down through the spaces that the curtains cannot cover which made the young girl realised that dawn has arrived, she suddenly feel a wave of exhaustion coming from the body to the brain. She has been worn out, staying up all night trying to figure out a counter-plan to the sudden migration of the ghoul pack.
Another way...
She sighs. Without knowing, dawn has crawl its way up, and so... It's time for her to work again.
《Timeskip to 8 am brought to you by a kappa in a pond-》
With weary eyes that have gotten only 3 hours of sleep, the girl feels sluggish, powerless and dizzy, without knowing what to do with her life in any way like most of the sleep-deprived people. In contrast to her, the gamers seem to have a great rest, enjoying the time in Japan.
The sun shines through, full on, wired with brightness as if the entire world has a light bulb that has been turned on at 8 o'clock straight. The trees show their green natures, with their branches extended to the greater and vast skies on blue and sunlight. Scattered clouds spread across the skies of wonder, where a few birds and occasionally a Tengu fly across them at some point in time. The atmosphere is calm, unaware of the upcoming attack of the troop of human-eating ghouls.
The oddness of the entire world when you have no sleep is not the first time Akira has experienced. The headache might not kill her, but seeing the smiles of the villagers can. Is there a way to save both sides from getting hurt? She doesn't know. She had been thinking about it almost the entire night, with plans that she could possibly come up with, and tried every other combination she could think of on top of her head, but no. There will always be one side that will get hurt. And she doesn't want that.
The perfect plan here is to make the least amount of damage, so that both sides are happy.
Both sides of happy, huh...
I won't be happy then.Wait. What was that?
"... Akira? Are you okay?"
She had dosed off yet again from the tiredness. She is losing concentration every second.
"Sorry, did you say something?"
"Oh, not much, I'm just asking if we should go out for a jog just to stay fit. And, you know, do a vlog on it, if it is okay." Bad is the person who's speaking. It took Akira a while to understand that fact.
"You can't tell anyone about the youkais here. That's the rule for me." She responds with a dry voice, like a broken recorder that automatically responds to such questions. Her brain is dying slowly after being eaten by a monster called sleepiness."I mean, we're just going for a normal vlog... Is that okay?"
"Yes. It is. But I'm going with you." Suddenly, a tingling of fear. For what? Them losing their lives? They'll lose their lives eventually to time, what could be worse than-What am I thinking?
I really should sleep. The air is fresh. The light is just right. As the sun continues to rise, the blue skies and the scattered clouds of white and fluffiness expresses the sparkle of life that no one had ever cared about in the cities. Nature is a great place, a place where life thrives within them, and the place where life dies away. A contradicting yet logical place. The sun seems to shine just the right amount to heat up the town to the right temperature for a nice and cool morning jog. Akira, however, is unfazed by the relaxation of the atmosphere. The boys are chatting while she is looking around. She needs to grasp danger at first sight. There is no telling if the ghouls have arrived or not; the report of them last seen was around a week ago and it isn't good.
Her heart is beating fast.
She can't seem to stop it.As a flash of unwanted colours had became true, her first reflex response was to put herself in front of the boys, who are setting up the stream.
At a blinding speed, comes a rogue ghoul, who is obviously starving for food, had charged at them with his mouth open. the mouth bit straight into Akira's arm.
The arm was ripped off of Akira. It hurts, but Akira' used to it.
After all...
The ghoul starts to fume, choking, and died right in front of the boys. At this point, Akira's arm had regenerated by a half.
"Sorry for the inconvenience, but I guess I can't hide this from you all." She sighs, as she looks at her bloody sleeve, "As you can see, this town is about to be in danger."
