It feels like a dream for Shigetori to flee from the city, and they are going to do it within days of time. His friends couldn't wait, but he knows they must.
There is no telling about the lives there.
They need to be careful.
The rain had stopped in Tokyo, with the clearance of the sky, the wild imagination of what is coming up next is surging in every other person's mind. What could possibly happen? They have faced so many wrong things in their entire life, what will life bring them?
More pain?
More suffering?
So what?
They have faced so much. So what?
That is the courage of those who have lost so much. They have nothing to lose, and so they will not be afraid.
The creation of beast came from the harsh environment, but not all people will become beasts in harsh conditions, such as Shigetori and the Leaf of Hope. This group of ghouls, unlike other ghouls, vow to not hurt humans, that that means they are kind-hearted and are not willing to harm humans in any other way. Shigetori did this for a reason, in fact, he knows, clearly, the reason why people hate ghouls or fear ghouls.
Since most of the ghouls are dangerous, people fear them.
Fearing them makes ghouls feel hurt.
Hurting the beast makes the beast hurt others.
In return, the cycle continues.
And that is precisely the reason why eliminating the specie as a whole is not a good idea; it would only cause unnecessary problems that you can avoid without going through the process. Humans are too dense. They couldn't seem to see the correct solution to the problem, an a problem with no solution could mean two things: you haven't found the correct solution, of the problem is not a problem for you to solve. This is rather idiotic, isn't it?
And they couldn't seem to see it.
It is so obvious, they decided to skip the step, and that step is crucial for passing the exams of Fate.
In return for skipping that step, Fate punishes the people.
Stupidity will not be tolerated under the judgement of the world.
So is dumb intelligence.
Thus, we question ourselves: what does the world want?
Well, why don't we start with the simple question:
What do you want?
Peace. A good life. Stable life. That makes up most of the normal people's desire; no one wants war and a disturbance of their jobs, impacting their families financially and physically.
That means we need to stop fighting or bring any unnecessary harm.
And so, the base and principle of the Leaf of Hope is no killing, no stealing, no hurting others.
It is rather illogical under the harsh circumstances that they have faced.
But of course, the world of youkais is rather illogical already.
Better get used to it.
