Ivy saw Sophia running away somewhere after lunch. As she decided to take her step towards her trail the same boy called her and informed her that Evan is looking for her.

Again? She thought.

She thought about it for a moment when she her phone vibrated. She took her phone out and saw the ID. Sophia. She hastily opened the text message.

“I’m going home early today Ivy. I am alright, just wanted to take some rest. Don’t worry. Will meet you.”

She sighed as she saw the message. She should have told me if she was not feeling well. Why did she run away?
She thought as once again she stood in front of the writing club door. She knocked an then opened it after two seconds and there sat Evan again with his headphones on but this time he gazed out of the window. Ivy stepped forward and saw his eyes. She was familiar with that look; damn she knew that expression clearly. She encountered it every time she faced a mirror. She wondered what that jerk was worried about. To her he seemed laid back and carefree. Then again you couldn’t judge someone by their looks.
She cleared her throat as he sat up straight.

“Oh you are here?” Evan asked.

“Yes. And what do you want from me?” Ivy questioned bringing her coldness back.

“Ah. That is… I called you because I wanted to write a book.”

“So do you expect me to buy a pen and papers to write? Ivy asked.

“Tch. Listen to me first. Can we- um… like, write the book together or something?” DON’T STUTTER.

Ivy’s eyes changed at this question. As Evan was noticing, the coldness was replaced with curiosity. These eyes were far from anyone’s reach. They glowed when they looked or thought about the things they love Evan thought.

“You want me to write, means work with you? Are you serious?”

“Yes Ivy I’m serious. As I said I liked your work very much.” Evan said.

“Well I have to think. With so much to study I don’t know if I will manage it well.” Ivy said. But inside she was afraid; afraid to trust another boy after the one who hurt her, afraid that she wouldn’t be able to concentrate. Not all boys were same, she knew that. But something in her was holding her back from trusting men in her life.

“Ok Ivy, please give me a positive answer.” With that Evan sent her to attend the later noon classes. She also wondered about Sophia.

Two days passed Sophia didn’t come to uni. Ivy was dead worried now and she heard some stupid rumours here and there but shrugged it off; she decided to visit her house after the school that day. She was warmly welcomed by her mother as she guided her to Sophia’s room.

Ivy knocked her door before opening. She saw her curled up in her bed with blankets all over her.

“She has been like this for the past two days. I asked her about the problem but she said she just needs break. I will let you both talk now. Come downstairs when you finish, we will have some pancakes.” Her mom said and left them alone. All that time Sophia didn’t move an inch.

Ivy sat close to her and pulled her blankets away gently.

“Soph, it’s me Ivy. Get up. Why weren’t you attending university? Tell me what is bothering you?” Ivy said and heard Sophia sobbing.

“Heyy why are you crying? Here let me see, come here.” Ivy pulled the blankets away and made her sit. Sophia’s eyes were puffy and red; hair messy and tears traced her cheeks. Ivy suddenly hugged her and let her cry out in her shoulder.
