Everyone was getting ready for the picnic. There was a complete hustle among students as they discussed what to take with them and what not.
“Ivy we will be camping outside for two nights; make sure you pack something warm and cosy.” Sophia said.
“Worry about yourself, Soph. I’m all done.”
“You girls seem to be excited?” Liam asked.
“YEAH! See you tomorrow Liam.” Sophia said.
“Wow, I guess I’m not the jerk anymore.” Liam said with a smile.
“Students gather around here. Announcement and instructions.” Ms Alice shouted. Everyone gathered around her before they entered the bus.
“Okay I know you will be in a full party mode the second you enter the bus, so let me get the instructions of the hook.” Ms Alice continued. “We are going to stay there for three days and two nights. I hope you have packed things to keep yourself warm. So yes, we will be touring around the place during the day time. The breakfast and lunch are arranged at a nearby hotel. You can also freshen yourself up there. As for breakfast we will move together; at 2 00 pm sharp we will assemble for lunch in the hotel.”
The students ‘oo-ed’ with excitement.
“Then dinner will be prepared by the staffs and the students working alongside. The years will be divided into teams for putting up tents and arrangement, for cooking and for cleaning. So there will be two teams in total, which will swap their works for the next day. I hope everyone here understood the regulations.”
“Yes professor.” Everyone chanted and they climbed the bus to drive away.
“Hey this is my seat. Get up.” Olivia came and purposely picked on Ivy.
“I don’t see any name written over here. Go away.”
“It is mine because I want to sit here. Get lost you fool.” Olivia pulled her sleeve to move her away. “You also got yourself recognised by Evan didn’t you slut?” Olivia whispered only for her to hear.
“Ivy, come over here.” Sophia called seeing the tension in the air.
Ivy went over to where Sophia and Liam were sitting. She got a text message as she found her phone vibrating.
One was from Mia almost half an hour ago and the next was from Evan. Unknowingly a smile crept on her face as she opened his text.
“Hope you have a great time.” The text read. Though Evan was coming to the same spot he felt like texting her.
Evan’s side
Ivy was a very sweet person to be with. Evan found this out during the past few days of their togetherness. They would usually stop by café and discuss about their passion and life motives. Time would fly even before they would begin the plot for their story. To Evan, story writing was just an excuse to meet her and to talk to her.
Maybe it was the same for Ivy.
His phone buzzed and he found the reply he had been waiting for unintentionally.
“You are coming there too mister. So I will rather say, let’s have a great time.” Evan smiled as he looked out of the window.
After about three hours of travelling they reached the countryside where the camping site was located. A particular portion was booked by the university, for the students to enjoy.
An attendant working there in the camping site rushed out of the cabin to see students climbing out of the bus. He was there to instruct them.
“Here we are students. This is our camping site. And this is our first day here. We will visit the nearby places after the instructor gives the instructions.” A professor said.
