“Ma’am I’m really sorry as my mother insisted for Ivy to stay overnight. I should get going now. Please excuse me it’s urgent.” Ray said boing politely to Ivy’s father and mother.

“It’s ok son. You are so sweet to offer her dinner. Bid my greetings to your mother and father. Come for dinner next time” Ivy’s mother said as they bid their goodbyes.

“So you stayed with a boy overnight, what is this Ivy.” Ivy’s father said.

“Dad you listened him I was not like, with him alone. There were his parents too. Besides his mother was very sweet to me.” Ivy continued the lie.

“Leave it dear. Ivy and Ray love each other. Shouldn’t we support them?” Ivy’s mother said.

Dylan came crashing into the living room, straight to Ivy.

“WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU, YOU LITTLE BRAT?” Dylan shouted.

“I was at Ray’s house with HIS PARENTS. I texted mom about staying in a friend's house.” Ivy said back.

“Calm down both of you, let’s have breakfast.” Ivy’s mother said and they ate breakfast in silence.

“I TOLD YOU NOT TO TAKE HASTY DECISIONS IVY.” Dylan was clearly frustrated.

“Dylan calm TF down. Me and Ray, we are going to be together. But I didn’t do that yet.” Ivy answered calmly.

“How are you so confident that he won’t leave you?”

“Because he said he wants my soul over body.”

Everyone was looking for admissions in colleges and universities. As Ivy wanted to practice law (I’m sorry I didn’t mention earlier), she looked for a law college. Luckily she got into her desired university though she wanted to go to another college at first. Her parents denied because it was in another city.
Mia and Daniel were luckily attending the same university though different sectors (or streams?); Lyra was attending a different college while Ryan was attending the same college as Ivy. As for Dylan he worked at a well reputed company.

Time passed like flowing water as they began attending their colleges and were busy with their schedules. Ivy hung out with her friends often. But Ray was busy with his company meetings and all as he now took full participation in everything. He didn’t attend any college because he was to practice business with his father.

“What is it Dylan you look upset, is your brain finally realizing how dumb it is?” Ivy asked and laughed as they were sitting together with their parents at dinner table.

“I will be transferred.” Dylan said his voice low.

“What?!” Ivy asked in complete shock.

“Yes. I’m being transferred to xxxx by my company.”

“Well it’s kind of good, son. Dylan, listen you will be able to work at a different position which will add to your experience and then you might be promoted.” Their father said.

“Everything happens for good and a reason. Don’t worry.” Their mother added.

Everything went silent as they all finished dinner slowly.

“So you are really going? You accepted? What about our parents? How will they manage the shop? I will help them but still-” Ivy was cut off by a strong pair of arms wrapping around her.

“I know you will miss me, sister, but still I have to chase this job to pay debts remember? At least till you become a prosecutor or lawyer.” Dylan said.
