Ash went back to the camp. He saw Clemont and Bonnie. He was sad. Although he didn't even know the reason why. After hearing that Serena was going on a date with Jimmy, he felt sad and angry. Would Jimmy travel with them so he would be able to go out with Serena? If it became a serious thing would he travel with them forever? Wait, could he become Serena's boyfriend...? The idea of Jimmy and Serena being boyfriend and girlfriend got a hold on him...

"Hey, Earth to Ash!!!" Bonnie screamed in Ash's ear to make him get back to reality!

"Sorry, I was lost in thoughts," he said

"What were you thinking about?" Clemont asked worried about his friend...

"Nothing important... Need any help setting the tents?" Ash asked trying to change the subject. Clemont and Bonnie both knew something was up. They just thought it was better to let it slip for now!

"Nop, they're done, remember...? We didn't leave this place yet"

"Well, we should think about leaving...Perhaps." Ash said
"Why the rush to leave? Here it's perfect for you to train right?" Bonnie asked
"You guys are leaving?" Bonnie and Clemont turned around. Ash stood still. He knew that voice. Jimmy. Even his name made him sick. Although he did not understand why he was so angry at him.
"Were thinking about it..." Clemont said smiling. "Hey Jimmy, where's Serena," Bonnie asked
"She was right behind me..." Jimmy said turning around trying to find Serena
"I'll look for her," said Ash determined to spend some time with her before Jimmy steals her from him.

"Don't worry mate. I'll look" Jimmy said. Ash's blood starting to boil. Jimmy took off, leaving Ash mad as hell. Why was he so angry at Jimmy? The guy just asked Serena out. Meaning they would go on a date and that would be it... No. If he asks her to be his girlfriend he would never leave them...

"I want him gone" Ash mumbled although loud enough for Clemont and Bonnie to hear
"What? Why?" Bonnie asked. She had an idea that it was because of Serena. Jimmy seemed to like her a lot. And Ash he seemed pissed by Jimmy being to close to Serena.
"I was just wondering how long will Jimmy stick with us" Ash replied
"No, you were not," Clemont said " You want Jimmy gone so something must have happened"
"Nothing happened. He just annoys me" Ash replied
Clemont and Bonnie insisted on the subject. The two siblings knew something was up with Ash. He never hated someone as he seemed to hate Jimmy. Ash never told them the real reason why he was so mad at Jimmy. He just said he didn't trust him. Clemont and Bonnie pretended to believe in what Ash had said, however they knew something was up. Perhaps involving Serena.

"Hi, guys. Sorry I got distracted by the view" Serena said. However, something popped into Ash's head. She was holding Jimmy's hand! 'What the hell?' Ash thought. Ash's hate in the guy just grew and grew. Serena would leave him to be with this asshole.

"It's fine... Hey, are you two a thing?" Clemont asked

Both Jimmy and Serena blushed. Ash's blood boiled once again. Although this time he felt his heart shatter into a million pieces. He was truly hurt. Tears were begging to escape his eyes. He was so confused. Why was he acting this way!? Why? He could talk to Clemont about it... Yet he didn't feel like he should. It could be something that would disappear eventually. It could just be the fact that he was afraid Serena would stop spending time with him or something.

"Kind of... Not yet. Although I did ask Serena on a date" Jimmy answered. Ash glared at him. Jimmy noticed and smirked. 'After all, you have a flaw, Ketchum! But I hope you know what closure means because Serena is mine and will always be mine'. Ash saw Jimmy smirking at him. He hated this guy. He wanted him gone as fast as possible.

Serena, on the other hand, didn't notice the glares shared by the guys. She didn't fancy the fact that she was going on a date with Jimmy. She wanted Ash to ask her out. However, he would never do that since he always talks about his old friends so highly. Serena didn't expect to be the girl Ash would want to be with. Although she dreamed about that. Jimmy was just a rebound for her. He was a way for her to start moving on...

"We were talking about when we should leave," Clemont said. He glances at Ash. His head down, his hand making sure the cap would cover his eyes. His whole body looked weak. He knew that he needed to talk to him about it.
"That seems like a good idea..." Serena said. She looks at Ash and just like Clemont she got seriously worried. Ash never acted that way.
"Well, I'll leave you guys and see you at the next town.." Jimmy said "I need to plan a date," he said smiling at Serena who blushed

After Jimmy said bye to the gang, Serena turned to Ash and asked "Ash, are you okay?" She looked at him. She was very worried about him. She will always care for him a lot even if she tries to move on.
Ash looked at Serena and for the first time, he felt like he just wanted to hug her, hold her in his arms. Pretend like there was no Jimmy. Like Serena belonged to him.

"I'm fine... I'm great" Ash answered in a cold tone

"No, you're not. What happened to you?" Clemont asked.

"Nothing seriously! Everything is fine" Just like that Ash stormed off. He went near the river and just stared at the water. 'Why do I feel like this? This is worse than when I lose a battle'. He felt ruined like he just lost something very important.

Suddenly, he felt a pair of hands in his shoulders. He turned his head around to find Serena with a very worried look on her face. She smiled at him. He turned around and hugged her. He didn't care at all what she would think, he just needed her.

Serena hugged him back. She was very worried about Ash...

"Ash, what happened?" She asked in a low tone
"I don't know... I just felt really bad and sad for a moment..." Ash answered. He felt like Serena was the closest friend he had ever had. He could tell her everything and she wouldn't leave. She would stay there with him.

"Whatever it is, I'm sure it will get better! Never give up until the end remember! I believe in you!" Serena said blushing as she was still hugging Ash. Ash holds her tighter. He smiled. His face started to warm up. He knew Serena was the reason he was sad, but why he didn't know. But it was going to find out.

"Serena promise me you will never forget me..." Ash said in a low tone although loud enough for Serena to hear.

"Of course I promise that. I will never forget you! You're my best friend. You don't even know how important you are to me" Serena blushed as she realised what she had said

"Thanks, Sere. You're very important to me too. A lot really" Ash said. He realised the sad he felt was for Serena. Why? Right now he couldn't care less. Serena was right there in his arms. He knew he would use this time without Jimmy to be with her.

Serena blushed at what Ash had said. She never realised she was that important to Ash. She felt extremely happy. She knew things with Jimmy wouldn't last if her feeling for Ash kept this strong.
