Serena arrived at the room which she shared with Ash, Clemont and Bonnie. She felt terrible... Although she and Jimmy agreed to be friends, she still felt bad. Her date with him sucked. Maybe she wasn't a girlfriend type. Maybe she was the most unlucky person in the world.

Serena was so distracted in her thoughts that she didn't even hear Ash' voice. The two siblings stared at Serena. Ash was blushing extremely, afraid she had heard what he had said. However, Serena didn't hear it, she realized the three friends were staring at her.

"Hey Serena," Bonnie said running to the performer and hugging her "How was your date?"

Serena looked at Bonnie with a sad look on her face. "It kinda sucked"

Clemont glared at Ash, although he was happy his friend had realized his feelings, he still ruined their friend's date. Ash looked back at Clemont. He felt guilty. But curiosity arouses in him to know more, how it ended and pretend like he didn't know what had exactly happened.

"What happened?" Ash asked in a comforting voice making Clemont and Bonnie look at him.

"I don't really want to talk about it... I'm sorry guys" Serena felt bad for everything that had happened that day. She left the room and went into the bathroom to change into her pyjamas. She wanted to go to bed as fast as possible.

Ash was very worried about Serena, also he knew that she was probably sad because her date had sucked...If she found out he destroyed her date, she would never forgive him. But he could be a great friend now and support her. So when she got off the bathroom already in her pyjamas, Ash ran to her and hugged her. Clemont and Bonnie had gone down to have dinner. Ash had told them he would go after a while, he just wanted to make sure Serena was ok and if she didn't want to eat something.

Serena, surprised by the sudden hug, blushed and hugged Ash back. It felt nice to know that after that terrible date, he was there for her. Ash smiled. For the first time, he was hugging Serena knowing his true feelings. It felt right to be in that position with her. He felt like she belonged there in his arms forever. He knew he would do everything to protect her and to make her smile.

"Whatever happened on your date, don't blame yourself. I'm 100% sure it wasn't your fault" Ash said

"It was the worst date I've ever been to... and at the end, I needed to tell Jimmy I didn't felt the same that he felt for me. I hate to break people's hearts... I shouldn't have gone." Serena whispered loud enough for Ash to hear. Sudden happiness shouldn't have found his way into Ash's heart but it did. He was relieved Jimmy and Serena were over. The next step now was to win Serena's heart. Ash broke the hug and looked into Serena's beautiful blue eyes as he felt himself drowning in them once again. His hands started playing with Serena's hands, making her shiver.

"Hey, it's not your fault. you try to do the right thing. You couldn't force yourself to like someone. And if it makes you happier, I never really thought that Jimmy was the right guy for you. He seemed kinda clumsy"

Serena giggled at Ash's remark. "He actually is very clumsy. He would drop everything or step in a rock. I got wet two or three times and even burned. First, it started to rain from nowhere, not his fault. Then he stepped into a rock while carrying the basket and the bottle of water that was opened flew out of there and onto me. Then we were at this cafe and he dropped his mug with burning coffee. So yeah now my belly is burned. And you're right, I couldn't force myself to like Jimmy. It wouldn't be fair to him or to me" Serena looked at Ash's auburn eyes. She loved this boy. She felt the need to be with him forever. But she always knew he had friends more pretty than her and smarter than her. How could he choose her?

"I was not expecting that. It really sucked. Are you sure you're ok? I mean you got burned."Ash asked concerned. The remorse filled his body

"Don't worry. I'm fine." Serena said smiling

"Now, stop thinking about it! Are you hungry?" Ash smirked at Serena who laughed.

"I'm not, but I believe you are!" Serena laughed again.

"You know me so well!" Ash laughed alongside Serena. The moment felt perfect for the two. Ash and Serena were so close to each other as Ash played with Serena's hands. Serena was trying really hard not to blush. If she even knew that Ash was also fighting his own blush to show up in his face. Knowing his feelings made him more aware of how Serena reacted or acted around him. He wanted a lot to tell her how he felt. As they stole glances at each other, Clemont and Bonnie showed up. They decided to bring dinner. The looked at his two friends who were obviously so in love with each other. They smiled at the pair. They wanted the two to work it out together. Seeing Ash and Serena together would be so fantastic. The two siblings were always aware of the chemic between the two.

For example, whenever Ash battle he would sometimes look at them. But what Clemont and Bonnie found out is that he would look at Serena for inspiration. Serena would do the same with Ash. If they could they would help the two as much as they could.

Ash and Serena blushed when they saw the two siblings standing there looking at them.

"We thought we would bring dinner upstairs for all of us!" Bonnie said happily as her favourite ship was finally able to sail.

"Thanks, Bonnie and Clemont" Serena said smiling brightly

"Hey Serena, what if tomorrow you and I would go watch the sunset?" Ash suggested scratching the back of his head

Serena looked at him, completely shocked by his question. Was she dreaming? Was Ash really asking her on a date? "Just us two?" Serena asked blushing extremely

"Yeah...If you want of course" Bonnie and Clemont smirked

"I would love to Ash!" Serena said and without controlling her body hugged him

Ash blushed a lot. A big smile showed up in his face. Serena said yes. Finally, he would be able to tell her how he felt. He hugged her back. They were finally closer than ever.

The gang together had dinner, with Ash and Serena stealing glances at each other when the other was distracted.
