Serena stood still after hearing Ash's words. She was shocked by what he had said. Had she even heard right? Did he love her? Could it be possible? She was sure she wasn't dreaming cause her eyes burned with tears. She looked at Ash. He was blushing. She never wanted to be the person who always asks 'what' but this time it was needed as she wanted to make sure she heard right...

"What?" Serena was nervous. She dreamed about the day where Adh would tell how he felt about her. She always wondered if he could ever love her. He knew so many beautiful girls, why would he choose her.

"Serena, I love you. I'm sorry I was stupid. I never meant to hurt you. I acted out of anger. I was so jealous when I saw you and Jimmy together... I hope you can forgive" There it was again. Ash said it again. Ash was nervous. He was waiting for Serena's reply. It took her a minute to figure out what she would say. She was sure she loved him but she was hurt.

"Ash... You could have told me how you felt. It would be easier and you didn't need to be jealous of Jimmy. You know, the worst part was when I broke Jimmy's heart because I knew what I felt for you was too strong to hide. I knew I couldn't pretend that I liked him. It would only hurt him more. But you destroyed my date with him. He felt miserable. Always apologizing to me. You should apologize to him as well... Although I have no idea where he is"

Ash looked at Serena. He knew he needed to apologize to Jimmy. But right now he only cared about Serena's words. She felt the same way about him... Although could she still want to be with him after everything that happened?

"Do you forgive me?" Ash asked finally being one step away from Serena. He grabbed her hands in his playing with her fingers. A big blush appeared on Serena's face as she melted by Ash's careful touch. Ash looked at her cute blushing face as her puppy red eyes kept bringing more tears. She finally looked at him straight in the eyes and smile. Tears filled her face but right now were happy tears.

"Yes, Ash. Of course, I forgive you!" Serena let go of Ash's hands and jumped into his arms, hugging him. Ash was shocked at first but gave in to the hug. He was so relieved Serena had forgiven him. There were no words needed, the moment speak for itself. They both knew they belonged together forever. There was nothing breaking them apart.

After a while, Ash knew there was just one more thing to do. He let go of Serena. She was confused by Ash's actions. He stood there trying to find the courage to finally ask her. He remembers the necklace he kept in this pocket.

After training, Ash wondered around with his partner Pikachu on his shoulder. He was excited to finally have some alone time with Serena.

As he looked around all the shops, one caught his attention. More a necklace caught his attention. It was a simple silver necklace. But the blue heart made it beautiful. Ash knew he wanted to buy that necklace to gave Serena.

"It matches with the ribbon I gave her, right Pikachu?" Pikachu nodded "Do you think she will like it?" Pikachu nodded again. Ash was now sure he needed to buy that necklace for Serena. He will give it to her after confessing to her. It would be a way of telling everyone else she was taken by him.

Ash imagine Serena's cute face when she received that gift from him. Like the ribbon, he was sure she would treasure it forever. It filled his heart to imagine Serena's expression. When she was happy, he was happy. He knew he wanted to be with her forever no matter where life will take them.

He entered the shop. An old man showed up.

"Hello young men, what can I help you with?" The old man asked Ash. He was the owner of the shop

"Hello. I would like to buy that necklace with a blue heart." Ash said

"Sure, follow me" Ash followed the old man to get the necklace then turned to Ash and asked, "Is it for a special someone?"

Ash blushed not expecting that question. "Yes. There's this girl that means the world to me. I'm going to confess to her today but I wanted to give her something special and unique"

"Young love it's always so pure and beautiful. You're lucky young men. I spent most of my life trying to find my soulmate, the one person who made my heart melt. After I found her and lived with her some good years, she died while having our baby."

Ash looked at the young men. He felt so sad for him. It must be awful to see the love of his life die. How could he live with a smile on his face after it? How did he found the courage to get out of bed every day? Ash knew if he lost Serena, he would kill himself. He couldn't live without her.

"I'm so sorry..." Ash said

"It's ok. I have my daughter that reminds me every day of her mother. The person I love. I know! I will make this necklace even more special and unique."

"You can do that?" Ash asked excitedly

"Yes. I will mark in here you and your love first letter"

After some hours, the mand finally finished. In the blue pearl was now marked a small AxS. It was beautiful. It sure was the best gift for Serena.

Ash took the box where the necklace was out of his pocket. He looked at Serena who was looking at him confused. He smiled at her.

"Serena Yvonne. I have been dying in these past hours to say these words to you. I love you so much. There is no one more beautiful, unique and kind than you. I would be a fool by letting you go so easily. I made a mistake and you forgave me. Now I want to make you mine. Serena Yvonne will you be my girlfriend?" Ash said looking at Serena who cried even more. He didn't know if she didn't feel the same way or if she was happy.

"YES! Yes! A million times Yes!" Serena yelled throwing her arms at Ash. He smiled. "I love you too Ash!" He heard Serena say. His heart skipped a beat. He knew she was his one and only. Hearing Serena says those words to him made his world shine. It was happening finally: Ash and Serena were finally together.

Ash broke the hug. "I have a gift for you"

"You didn't need to... Just us together is the best gift ever" Serena said blushing

Ash placed the box on Serena's hands. She opened the box and a big smile showed up in her face. The necklace was marvellous. Serena looked at AxS in the heart and smiled. Ash put the necklace on Serena. She turned around and finally crashed her lips into his. Ash kissed Serena back. His hands-on her back bringing her closer and closer to him. Serena's hands playing with Ash's hair.

The kissed lasted for two minutes. When the two broke the kiss, they smiled at each other not breaking their embrace.

"I love you so freaking much, Serena Yvonne"

"I love you too Ash Ketchum"
