The next day...
Areson :
I went in my office quickly as I had to finish some work. Everything regarding the court and the proof against Sebastian was ready. Now, I just needed to meet the other guys so we could talk about more important things.
"Hello guys, alright we got everything ready for the court, we hope Nathaniel is going to handle it well. Also, Tristan, Avery and John, prepare our other guys, they need to be ready for everything that could happen in the court. Sebastian is mafia. He could easily kill us all, so be ready, keep guns." I announce, as I try to prepare them for everything.
"Yeah well we know" Avery responds, seeming not really interested in what I was saying.
"Oh cmon tell us now Ares, how did it go with Damassiel?" Tristan asked trying to tease me.
"She didn't eventually bite right?" John said nudging Avery's arm and laughing.
I give them an angry look and then I start talking.
"One word. She's going to be the death of me." I say, feeling disappointed as I smile slightly.
"Yep, she definitely got him, he can use him however she wants now" Tristan ironically said while looking disappointed too.
"Sure yeah" I ironically answer while leaving the office.
Kasity :
I opened the folder Kingstone gave me last night. It seems those papers are really reliable. Maybe he's right?
I don't know and I'm confused. I'll tell Vanessa to find me information about Perez too. Vanessa is one of my best colleagues and my best friend. I am sure she'll deal with this perfectly.
Meanwhile I was bored in my office and thought I could make a call, just for fun.
"Hello?" He answered.
"Since when you're so kind?" I ask, teasing him.
"I see, Ms. Kasity is trying to mess with me again. By the way, did you find time to see the folder I gave you?" He asks.
"Yes, I did. Good work I'd say. Those informators of yours should be really smart." I continue.
"They are, maybe better than your's" he teases again.
"Listen I need to tell you something..." he starts saying, his voice tone becoming serious.
"You should really not mess with Perez's mafia organisation. Trust me. Why don't you just tell him to find another lawyer? Get rid of him while you've got still time. He's dangerous, I don't want him to-" he tries to say but I interrupt him.
"Listen Kingstone, I'm not a coward and I'm going to win this case til the end. I really do appreciate your warning, but right now, I don't need somebody to take care of me. If he's really mafia, as you say, then I don't care. What can he do to me? Kill me? He can't. He knows I'm powerful." I say, starting to feel annoyed.
"I warned you, princess" he says and then hungs up.
'How I hate his arrogant behaviour' I think and then put the phone down.
