Chapter 4- A connection?

Roni's PoV:
As we walked out of the tent, my right arm linked with Darcy's, we bumped into Laurex, as I liked to call them.
Nessa: Hey Alex, hey Lauren.
Alex: Hey. So, I guess you found each other. Also, not to be rude, but we haven't been introduced.
He said with a friendly smile and put his hand out.
Darcy: Hey, I'm Darcy. A childhood friend, I decided to surprise them.
She shook his hand.
Roni: You sure did!
Alex: Well, it was nice to meet you, Darcy, have fun at this carnival. See you later!
They walked off together, Lauren waving back at us.
Darcy: Well, where do you guys want to go?
We decided to get onto the Ferris wheel, get some food, it was a blast.
Nessa: I saw a psychic over there somewhere. We should go check it out. What do you think?
Darcy and I: Sure, why not?
We went over to the red and white striped tent. There didn't really seem to be a line, I guess it was because the carnival was ending soon.
Roni: As our guest, you first. Nessa can go after you, I'll go last.
Darcy came out, she seemed to enjoy it. A big smile on her face. I guess she was told good things. A good life.
Nessa came out looking the same. Although, I could tell there was a hint of disappointment.
Nessa: I can't believe that she told me that you'll find your soulmate before me! Not only that, but I have obstacles to go through to finally be happy with him. 
Roni: We don't even know if this is real. Well, wish me luck. Let's see what my future holds.
I said in a sarcastic and joking manner. I really do doubt that anything is going to be real. Who knows, the psychic might just be tricking us? Honestly.
I walk into the tent. It's quite pretty in here. My mouth open with awe. It's just like the movies. Beads and crystals everywhere. It looks very convincing. A chair laced with gold threat sat in front of me. And there sat the Psychic. She seemed cool.
Psychic: Would you care to sit down? We have your future to discuss, Veronica.
Roni: How exactly do you know my name?
Psychic: Oh, errm, your twin told me.
Roni: Makes sense.
Psychic: But let's discuss. I don't think I'll use my cards, I'm going to use the orb. I don't normally use it, but I'm getting something from you.
Roni: Okayy...
What does she mean? I'm actually starting to get convinced. Come on Roni, ignore her. It's all fake. It's the strong perfume getting to you. It was true. There was a strong smell of roses.
Psychic: Well, well, well, as you know, you'll be meeting your soulmate sooner than your sister. You'll be meeting someone who'll become extremely close soon. You know, your head, it's all in the mind, use your brain.
At that point I remember, the voice!
Roni: What do you mean by that? How do you know about that?
Psychic: You know what I'm talking about. I'm guessing you want an explanation?
I nodded. Very slowly. I really do want answers.
Psychic: Well, this phenomenon is very rare. You can hear your soulmate's voice in your head. But remember soulmate doesn't always mean lover. I don't know who your soulmate is. But I know the reason is because of your connection.
Roni: Connection?
Psychic: Yes, you have an extremely strong connection. So strong, you can talk to each other. However, it isn't something to tell others. Well, you can, but it's advised not to. I'm not sure why. The last time this happened was centuries ago. A bit of extra advice. Once you meet them, take your time with getting to know them. You don't want to break it either. It's something special. Please visit me next year.
Roni: I really thought this was all fake. I guess not. But thank you for your help. I'm planning on talking to this person later on. Well, once I get home.
Psychic: A lot of people don't believe in it and they still won't afterwards, but you, I have evidence. But I hope to see you next year. Have a good night.
Roni: Bye. Thank you, errm...
Psychic: Scarlett.
Roni: Thank you, Scarlett.
I waved. Woah, a soulmate. I definitely need to talk to this person.
I walk out of the tent. I put a smile on my face.
Roni: Same thing as always. At least I'll get my soulmate before you!
We laughed.  My phone rang, it was Alex.
R: "Hey Alex."
A: "Hey."
R: "What's up?"
A: "We're meeting back at       the car now. Everyone should make their                     way back. Just letting you know."
R: "Okay, I'll tell Nessa, we'll be there in a minute. We're right near the entrance."

Roni: It was Alex. Just letting us know that we need to meet them at the car now.
Nessa: Alright, let's go! Darcy, we've had a blast with you. We'll make sure to invite you over. Enjoy the rest of the carnival!
We both gave her a hug.
Darcy: I'll see you guys soon. I'm excited to see Paul and Wendy again. It'll be great. I'll text you soon. Bye.
We all waved. Nessa and I walked up to the sign.
Nessa: That was amazing! We're definitely coming next year. Also, what a coincidence. It was nice meeting up with Darcy. Roni?!
A hand waved in front of my face. I lost concentration. I was thinking about what was going on.
Roni: Yeah. I agree. We should definitely come next year. I want to see if the psychic says the same thing honestly. That would be funny.
Nessa: Very true.
We make it to the car, and sit in the back seats.
Lauren: That was so much fun. You guys coming next year?
Roni: Hopefully, we had such a blast. But I can't wait to get back to your guys' house. I'm kind of tired.
Alex: You guys are staying the night, right?
Nessa: We'd love to, but we don't have any of our stuff and we didn't really know. We're planning on staying till later, though.
Lauren: If you guys really want to stay, you guys can borrow some of my stuff, and I'm sure we have spare toothbrushes. Also, no-one else is staying. It'll just be you guys.
Nessa: Wait, seriously?! Roni, do you want to stay?
Roni: Yeah, sure. That'll be cool.
I rest my head on the window. The cool window on my head is so nice. All I want to do is talk to the person in my head. I hope I find out who they are soon...
