(Y/n)'s POV [one week later]

  Tonight, is the night, the night Bucky and I are going out dancing. Dugan is in Bucky and I's shared tent helping me go through my dresses. "How about this pink dress with the neck bow?" I asked, holding it up. "Eh, you don't strike me as a pink person." I nodded putting the dress to the side.

  I pulled out a silk dark blue dress, "How about this one?" I asked repeating the question. "He's seen you in Blue, how about this one?" He asked, his eyes lighting up as he saw an emerald green silk dress.

  "This one, you will look amazing in this green." He said, picking it up. "Green?" I asked, my face going red. "Yes of course, this one will bring out your beautiful eyes. Complement your complexion, make you stand out more." He said, telling me all of those things to convince me.

  "I don't know, Dugan. I don't really like to stand out." I said, shaking my head. He gave me a sympathetic smile, "Come on (Y/n), it's your first date, if Bucky doesn't like it, I'll rip his face off. But I guarantee that he'll love it. He loves you." He said, "Oh alright." I said, finally giving in.

  He chuckled, "That's the spirit, I'll go stand watch, I'll make sure no one comes in." He said with a wink, I nodded, giving him a nervous smile. Once he was out of the tent I started to undress, when I got my uniform off fully, I slipped into the green silk dress.

  I took off my bonnet, smoothing out my curls. I pinned one side of my hair back, leaving my side part. I put on my black heels, to give me some height. And I was done, I looked at myself in a little mirror. I looked okay, I don't know why I have green.

  I shrugged, "Hey (Y/n), Bucky is here." I took a deep breath, "I'm ready." I said, Dugan opened the tent flap and I came out. I saw Bucky in his formal uniform, "Wow." He said almost like he was short of breath. "I-Is something wrong?" I asked, my hand went to my arm.

  "No. Nothing. You just look, so...Beautiful." He said, with a smile. "O-Oh, Thank you." I stuttered, he chuckled. "You look very nice as well." I said with a shy smile. "Well, Thank you." He said with a smile, "Before we go, I'll do one last check up with Fredrick." I said, walking back into our tent.

  I grabbed my stethoscope and glasses, Bucky and Dugan followed. "Frederick, how are you doing?" I asked, pulling up a stool next to the cot. "Oh, I'm doing better." He said, seeing my dress. "Nice dress, who's the lucky guy?" He asked, with a smirk.

  "Hm?" I asked, pumping the blood pressure cuff, and putting my stethoscope on his arm. "Who are you going to dance with, you don't get all dressed up to go alone." He said, whincing from the pressure.

  "I'm going with Sargent Barnes."I said, taking the two things I had, and walking them over to my desk. "Ohhhh, He is very lucky." He said laying back down with a smile. "Easy." Dugan said to him. "I'll start you on some more fluids, and while I'm at it, I should tell you that you should start to try and sit up more." I said, taking another bag of saline.

  I hooked it up, "You got it Nurse." He said, giving a thumbs up. "What was a time where you had a patient come in with what looked like the most pain?" Frederick asked, "Well, I don't think you'll want to know." I said, taking my glasses off.

  "Try us." Dugan said, "The man fractured his penis." I said, "What!" Frederick yelled as he tried to sit up, but winced. "Oh yeah, want to know how it happens?" I asked, "Um, well..." Frederick stuttered. "That's what I thought." I said, with a laugh. "How do you keep so serious during a situation you want to laugh at?" Bucky asked.

  "Two answers, one It's my nursing face." I said, "Give me an example." He said, I nodded, grabbing my glasses. I went into a blank expression. "That's good." Dugan said, I nodded with a laugh. "Second answer?" Frederick asked, "I'm from Brooklyn, New York. You've got to be serious, even if it is a hooker." Bucky and I finished the sentence together.
