Bucky x Reader~The Avatar pt.1

(Y/n)'s POV [On your Earth]

  I (Y/n) (Y/L/N), daughter of (Y/F/N) and (Y/M/N), am The Avatar. Originally I started out as a bullied peasants girl. My father, a farmer, and my mother, a healer, always tried to give me what my bullies didn't have. Love. One day, the New Ozai's came to the Kyoshi island, where my family lived.

  The New Ozai's group, is a group of mostly fire benders who, believe in the methods that Fire lord Ozai did good for. When the New Ozai's came, they found my parents, and killed them, in front of me, I know what they wanted to do, and that was to torture me, by keeping me alive.

  After the New Ozai's left, I was lost, I stayed alone in my parents house, and I barely went out. I would mediate, but because of my emotional status, I couldn't talk to any of my past lives. One day, while I was trying to contact Avatar Kyoshi, I went to her shrine, I picked up her fans, and thats when everything was jump started.

  I found my calling, and that was to become a Kyoshi warrior. I had contacted Suki, the instructor, and the old leader of the warriors in our village. But when I was about to go in I froze, thinking the worst things. But Moyoh, my now friend and fellow warrior, in couraged me to go in, and I'm so glad I listened to her.

   Current time (Bucky's POV)

  I was with, Steve, Nat, and Sam on a mission. We got word of a portal, and to be honest, I thought I had heard it all. But then again, you never think of something so crazy until you've experienced it.

  The portal was in the south pole, and we had just arrived. I was used to the cold, and so was everyone else. "Okay, our objective is to contain the portal. We have people already there, watching the portal until we get there." We nodded, and walked into the ice walls.

   "Captain, nothing has happened, everything is stable." Right as one of the agents said that, the portal started firing up like something was coming through. We all backed up getting ready for a fight. I brought up my gun, and we all got ready.

  The energy from the portal got bigger and then a woman fell out, in a green uniform dress, black chest armor, a katana, two war fans, and it looks like a retractable shield. She also had face makeup, I was intrigued, her headdress, was a rounded triangle, with two fans on the slopes of the triangle, the triangle had a square in the middle with two sticks, crossed over one another.

  She fell to her knees, "H-Help..." she tried before she fell further onto the ground, the portal, shortly after, closed. "We have to help her." I mumbled, as I walked to her, rolling her over. I couldn't tell much about her, she did look like she was in a uniform.

   I put two fingers to her neck, feeling a pulse, I looked up to Steve. He nodded, taking my gun, I brought her arm over my shoulders, sliding my metal arm under her legs, holding her up with my right arm. "Don't worry, we'll take care of her, you keep watch for any sign for another portal." Steve said, and we walked away.

  When we got to the jet, I layed her on the metal bed in the middle. "Let's take away her weapons, for when she wakes up." Sam said, "Agreed." Nat said, she took the fans, the sword, and shield. Sam came over holding handcuffs. I stepped between him and her.

  "There's no need. She came asking for help, we don't have too." I said, "Wh- that doesn't mean anything, she could be dangerous to us, we don't know her." Sam said, "Don't you think she would have attacked when she came through the portal." I said, still blocking her.

  Sam sighed "I don't want to argue with you, about her, but if she attacks us when she wakes up, thats on you." He said, putting the handcuffs on the bench. I nodded, and watched over the mysterious lady.

  When we landed, I picked her up and we walked into Shield's labs. Going down to the infirmary, I put her down on a bed, and she was taken away by nurses...

   (Y/n)'s POV

  When I woke up, I wasn't in my own bed, I was in a white room, my uniform was off, and sitting in a chair next to my bed, my headdress sitting on top of my dress. I was handcuffed to my bed, one hand that is. I cursed to myself, letting out a sigh of defeat.

  As I layed there for a little bit, I heard the door open. I looked up, to see a woman with red short hair, and a man with shoulder length brown hair. I adjusted myself, wincing in the process. "W-Where am I?" I asked, "A shield facility." The woman said.

  "Who are you?" I asked, "Natasha Romanoff." She said, "Bucky Barnes." The tall man said. "And who might you be?" Bucky asked back. "Avatar
(Y/n)." I said back, "I'm sorry, Avatar?" Natasha asked, "You know Avatar, master of all four elements, bridge between your world and the spirit world?" I asked.

  They both looked confused, "Hand me that water pitcher." I said, pointing to the pitcher. Natasha looked behind and grabbed it, slushing the water around. She handed it to me, and I opened the lid. Making a pulling motion, I pulled the water out and showed them.

  "Okay that explains a little bit, what about your uniform?" Bucky asked, "I'm the leader of the Kyoshi warrior's, I live on Kyoshi Island." I back, putting the water back into the pitcher. I looked at the handcuff, and put my thumb to it. Breaking off, they both reacted. Natasha pulled a gun, and Bucky pulled a knife.

  "How did you bend metal, it's not an element." Natasha said, "On the contrary, it's purified earth, and you can put your weapons down, I'm not going anywhere." I said reassuring them. "Sorry, we're trained to react." Natasha said.

  I smiled, "I am too."....
