(Y/n)'s POV
I was walking home from getting my orders at the red cross, when I heard fighting. I looked down the alley to see a man in a military's uniform, Sargent to be more specific. He had just kicked the guy out of the alleyway when he walked to the very back.
I held onto my nursing bag, that has new supplies, bandages, gauze, needles with different medicines to go along with. Truth is I had just come home from a long day at work, after work I had to go to the red cross.
I took a deep breath and walked down the alley. "Sometimes I think you like getting punched." I heard, "Excuse me" I asked, the Soldier Boy looked behind him to see me. "Is everyone Alright?" I asked, "I'm alright, how about you Buck?" The short one with blonde hair asked.
"O-Oh, yes ma'am, I'm alright as well." He said, taking a deep breath. "I'm glad, just had to make sure, I heard commotion, and I thought someone was getting hurt." I said with a smile, holding my bag with both of my hands. "No ma'am, we're both okay." The short one said.
I smiled, "I'm (Y/n), (Y/n) (y/l/n). I just got off of work in the hospitals." I said, shaking their hands. "Bucky Barnes." Bucky said taking my hand, I smiled shaking his hand. "Steve Rogers." Steve said, taking my hand.
I smiled at the both of them, "Nice to meet you both." I said to them, "As too you, (Y/n)" Bucky said with a smile. "Are you sure your okay Steve, your bleeding hasn't stopped." I said looking to him. He touched his fingers to his lip.
"Come on, the both of you, follow me." I said waving them to follow, "Oh (Y/n), I will be fine." I gave him a look, "It's rude to refuse an invitation." I said, holding my bag. "Steve, she's wright." Bucky said, tipping his hat to the right, making it look crooked.
"Follow me then." I said, nodding my head to the street. Bucky smiled, nudging Steve by his shoulder. I walked in front, leading them to my home. Walking up the stairs I saw my nabor and his mother. "(Y/n), how are you? How was your day?" Jack asked, "Oh thank you for asking, I'm tired, and my day was long as normal, we had a whole infultry shipped into our hospital." I said shaking my head.
He sighed, "Yeah, tell that one to be safe out there." Jack said motioning to Bucky. "Of course I will, I don't wish death or injury upon my worst enemy." I said, "You really are The Angel of Mercy,(Y/n)." Jack's mother said, I smiled, giving a nod in appreciation.
"We've got to go, nice to see you Jack, Margaery." I said waving to them, turning around, pushing Bucky and Steve lightly. When we got to my apartment, I took the key from under a brick. I unlocked the door allowing them in.
"You have a very nice home, (Y/n)." Steve said, I smiled, "Thank you, I want you to sit on the couch." I said, pointing to my light pastel pink floral couch. "Yes ma'am." He said, taking his jacket off going over to the couch.
I set my bag on the table in front of the couch, going to get an ice pack. Once I got it, I walked it to Steve. Then I sat down in front of Steve, giving him the ice pack. "So tell me, Bucky, are you joining the war?" I asked, looking over to him. "Yes ma'am, I am shipping to England tomorrow morning." He said sitting down next to me.
"What a coincidence, I'm going to England tomorrow." I said with a smile, "Really, are you assigned to a hospital?" He asked, "No, I am assigned to an infultry company." I said, "Oh which one?" He asked.
I took the ice pack from Steve, taking gauze out, putting it on his lip. "The 107th, is what I was told by the red cross." I said, smiling to him. "Oh wow, I'm the Sargent for that infultry." My eyes widened.
"Well, Sargent, I hope I don't see you in my tent." I said, shaking my finger at him. I took the gauze from Steve, seeing that the bleeding had not stopped. "Well gosh." I said, "what?" Steve asked, "Your going to need stitches." I said, slumping down.
