I woke up only to see the familiar white setting. The room was cold and bleak. The nurse came in for the usual morning check-up before leaving me with some medicine and breakfast. It had been the usual routine for the past two days that I've been recovering.

Yesterday Katelyn came in to see me and scold me for getting hurt. She also dragged along Aphmau who remained mostly silent and Kawaii Chan who baked me a tray of cookies. It was a nice gesture but I could tell Aphmau did not want to be here and would probably prefer to see my corpse instead. She was still salty about the whole Aaron situation and that was very evident on her face when she saw me.

After the girls left, my brothers Garroth and Zane came to visit me. Garroth was urging to see my wounds, claiming that he was certified while Zane tried to stop the blonde from possibly injuring me further. I agreed with Zane, knowing I was quite vulnerable in my current condition. It also seems I haven't lost much of my memory so I have to live with knowing I blabbered a lot of nonsense to Aaron when I took refuge at his place.

The next few days went by slowly with small visits from my friends at sporadic periods of time. Within a week, I had done some miraculous healing with most of the wounds closing in with the help of the stitches. Now, I don't have to groan in pain every time I move. After about two weeks in the hospital, I was free to go back home. However, the catch was I shouldn't try to live alone. I tried hard to ponder who I could possibly drag to be my roommate. At first, I considered liberating Katelyn from her roommates but ultimately decided that she would be of little if I ever got injured further. I considered my other options before hearing a knock at my door. I walked over to open the door and was greeted by Aaron.

"Hey, I heard you were able to come home from the hospital. Just wanted to check up on you," he said.

I smiled politely and replied, "Yeah, they said my wounds were closing so I could be free to go."

Aaron nodded and I invited him in. We sat on my couch before I realized he might be a good person to ask since he lived alone as well.

"So umm, Aaron." I began, nervousness quickly taking over. "The doctors said I should umm get a roommate so I was wondering if maybe you would umm like to?"

Aaron looked at me confused for a small second before replying.

"I don't mind that is if you don't mind that a guy will be staying over."

I shook my head. I didn't mind guys as long as they were respectful of my boundaries and Aaron definitely was. I think my next option would be Zane since I don't need Garroth playing doctor the whole time.

Aaron agreed to be my "roommate" for the time being and said that he would be bringing his stuff over later in the day. In the meantime, Aaron was grabbing some snacks from the kitchen whilst I picked out a movie for us to watch. By the time I had gone through the selection twice and chosen a Disney movie, Aaron was back with a large bowl of microwaved popcorn and some water.

"I think we need to go grocery shopping, Most of the food in your fridge has gone bad since you weren't home," Aarong explained. I nodded, making a mental note to head to the grocery store later.

"Well I picked out Lion King for us to watch," I said.

Aaron got settled down on the seat next to me as we shared the bowl of popcorn.

About halfway into the movie, we heard a loud commotion coming from the street. We paused the movie and made our way to the front and leered out the windows. There, we saw a small cloud of smoke starting to form at Aphmau's house. Aaron was quick on his feet and made his way out the front door. I followed behind him and we made our way toward Aphmau's place. It would seem the house caught on fire and there were people still in the wreckage.
